If this thing actually repeats the Volkswagen short squeeze they all talk about... crazy.

(I don’t know **** about what a short squeeze is. Just that I like this stock and I’m going to hodl until $1k)
In order to sell a stock short, you have to borrow shares from someone to sell. Eventually, the short has to buy shares back in order to repay the loan. The goal of shorting a stock is to repurchase the shares at a lower price than they originally borrowed at.

A short squeeze happens when a bunch of shorts have to repurchase their shares in order to repay the loan. When a bunch of shares have to be repurchased, it will naturally cause the price to go up. If a stock is heavily shorted, or if the short is well known, it can really skew the market and bone the short if prices artificially rise because the rest of the market knows you are FORCED to repurchase the shares.
