Bitcoin miners running hard the last couple weeks. Sold a bunch of stuff back on July 27 and moved it into BITF, HUT and HIVE. I'm up over 60% since then, with 33% this week.

mikey, when you’re ready to cash out, you’ll wind up being paid in cold pizza and used tissues.

A little randomness: In the last couple years, there was a massive run-up in the prices of certain luxury watch brands, particularly Rolex, Patek Phillippe, and Audemars Piguet, all of which in recent years have been prominently worn by certain rappers and athletes. It got to the point where you could buy a Rolex Daytona or Patek Phillippe Nautilus from a dealer and immediately flip it for two or three times or more the retail price on the secondary market. But starting with the collapse of the crypto market, prices on those watches have also started to fall precipitously, which a lot of watch collectors have interpreted as a sign that at least some of the price run-up was due to crypto bros taking their gains and buying up those watches. Now that many of them have lost a lot of money, they're looking to turn their watches back into cash.

My future employer uses Prudential for their 401k, and there aren't a whole hell of a lot of options in the plan. I can make it work based on what I've seen, but my current employer has much better options. On the other hand, the future employer matches nearly twice what my current one does. That'll go a long way.

I'm going from a solid set of options with Vanguard to lots of junk I'm unsure of. State Street equity funds, BlackRock target funds and bond funds, and a T. Rowe Price stable value fund.

Why not set up some kind of biannual rollover into a IRA (or Roth IRA if your contributions are Roth) and move that money the moment it's vested so you have more options? My future employer uses Prudential for their 401k, and there aren't a whole hell of a lot of options in the plan. I'm going to look at all alternatives, for sure. I don't have time right now, but I'm also going to do a deep dive on the funds listed to see if it's worth actually using them full-time. I usually rollover balances to new companies, but I'm not sure that I want to do that here. Why not set up some kind of biannual rollover into a IRA (or Roth IRA if your contributions are Roth) and move that money the moment it's vested so you have more options? My future employer uses Prudential for their 401k, and there aren't a whole hell of a lot of options in the plan. I always roll over old companies to my own. I only roll over current if the options suck.

Any time Powell talks, this happens. I'll probably bounce back in an hour.
