I want embiid to be a superstar but dude doesn't know what to do with himself out there. Ben Simmons looks legit though.

LaVar Ball is a piece of **** and has made it impossible for his kid to live up to his unrealistic career expectations, especially because he isn't very good to begin with. Best thing for him would have been someone other than the Lakers drafting him, but they somehow welcomed the distraction and further enabled LaVar to leech off his sons. In the words of Snoop Dogg after last night's game, "his father put him in the lion’s den with some pork chop drawers on.” Kid's got no shot.

I am an opinionated person who focuses on weird, pointless things.

With that said...no clue why anyone gives a second of thought to an athlete's father on a team they have no real interest in.

Joel Embiid had an utterly dominant performance last night. 46 points on 20 shots, 7 blocks, 15 rebounds and 15 assists. Ben Simmons almost had a triple double. I watched about half of it, and that was honestly one of the most dominant center performances I've seen in a decade.

Screw Embiid and Simmons. This was the highlight of that game:

Massive overbearing father/tool bag alert:
@GoodmanESPN

LaVar Ball told ESPN that LiAngelo and LaMelo have signed with Lonzo's agent, and the goal is to find an overseas team that will play both at the same time. This also means there’s no chance of LaMelo playing college hoops —

LiAngelo was never going to have an NBA career. The best time of his life was going to be spending 4 years at UCLA banging coeds with the hope of playing in a terrible euro league after graduating.

LaMelo was a 5 star recruit and one of the top PGs in the country for his graduating class. He was likely going to be a one and done in college, but who knows how his development will be affected by going to Europe. As was the case with Lonzo, his best chance for success hinges are getting as far away from his father as quickly as possible.

The two younger Ball brothers have both signed with a small, shtty Lithuanian club:

https://deadspin.com/ball-brothers-sign ... 1821200144
According to Woj, the brothers will see most of their playing time in the Baltic League, and there are plenty of reasons to think that Vytautas is primarily signing the two teens for marketing reasons. They are apparently having serious financial problems, and they reportedly have no general manager and can’t afford to host practices.
Yup...that's exactly what they need to get them NBA-ready. I've said it before, but Lavar Ball is a child abuser, IMO. Psychological manipulation to support his own self-serving interests.

That’s a real “life comes at you fast” situation for the Ball boys. LiAngelo was going to spend the next four years of his life at UCLA banging coeds. LaMelo was a year away from being a high school senior and then going to UCLA for the same experience, only condensed before leaving for the NBA after a year. Now they’re heading to a middle of nowhere Lithuanian village that has less than a quarter of UCLA’s student population and will make zero progress at becoming better basketball players.
