Giannis to make more than 7 1/2 free throws at +225 turned out to be easy money. Thanks for practicing your free throws!!

Congrats to the Bucks. It's nice seeing "new" teams win a championship. And like he said, glad they did it w/o a super team. Much deserved.

Two shootings in downtown Milwaukee early Wednesday as crowds celebrated the Milwaukee Bucks' first NBA championship in 50 years left three people wounded, police said.

The shootings both happened about 12:42 a.m. at two locations near Water Street, police said in a statement. TV station WISN had a reporter broadcasting from the scene when multiple shots were heard, prompting people to flee.

The shootings were across the Milwaukee River from Fiserv Forum, where the game was played, and the Deer District plaza, where a crowd of roughly 65,000 had gathered for an outdoor watch party. The area where the shootings took place is on a street heavily populated with bars and restaurants.

During Tuesday night's game, a police officer was trampled by people trying to get into the Deer District watch party after the area had reached capacity, Milwaukee police Capt. Jesús Ortiz said in an email. The officer didn't sustain any major injuries but reported being in general pain, Ortiz said.

Following one of the shootings, a 22-year-old man had non-life-threatening injuries, police said, and a suspect was in custody.

In the other shooting, which police said happened simultaneously, a 19-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man had non-life-threatening injuries. One person was in custody and other suspects were being sought, police said.

The two shootings, which were in the immediate area of the celebrations, likely were what was heard during the TV coverage, Ortiz said.

Bummed out for CP3. That was an impressive turnaround from Milwaukee.

I was kind of rooting for CP3 in the beginning of the playoffs but eventually started rooting against him. I forgot how petulant he is

He flops and is dirty. I like his game but can’t stand the player

Is there a reason I should like CP3?
He seems to have the male equivalent of RBF and every game I watched in these playoffs I've seen him dive after a jumper trying to buy a call.

Edit: Oh crap, I'm agreeing with MiMH. Maybe I'm the bad guy

yeah, he was very petulant in Game 6. Probably didn't help his arch-nemesis, Scott Foster, was officiating.

Westbrook traded to the Lakers for Kuzma, Harrell, KCP and a first round pick

I don’t think Westbrook with AD and Lebron makes sense tactically but it’ll be fun regardless

I think it makes a ton of sense. Lebron is an excellent facilitator and will thrive having both AD and Westbrook. Westbrook will be able to create and either get to the hoop easily or leave AD open on the block. Will be fun to watch.

Westbrook can’t shoot 3s. Neither can AD. Both are better in and around the paint and so is Lebron. It’s going to be very clogged

It's not like they all stand in the paint because they aren't good from distance. They understand spacing. They'd benefit from a Reddick type that could sit in the corner and wait for a kick out to knock down some easy looks

spacing doesn’t matter when you can’t take advantage of it with shooting

They aren't sharpshooters but it also isn't a team of Ben Simmons. They'll keep teams honest

I guess we’ll see. I honestly think they should’ve traded for Beal rather than Westbrook

Then again I also thought Suggs should’ve been the first overall pick rather than falling to five (he technically only fell one spot below where he was expected to pick) but I’m also not an NBA GM so I’ll shut up

I think Suggs is gonna be the best pro from this draft too tbh

Quentin Grimes is Tyler Myers's half brother, making them the first sibling pair to be picked in the first round of the NBA and NHL drafts.

Tyler is also 3 inches taller, at 6'8".

So Dennis Schroeder played himself? Can’t really figure out what he thought was going to happen. Turned down 4 yr 84m from
Lakers to sign 1 year 5.9m with Celtics
