I could see that desire wane after 93. And sometimes you have to step away from something to realize how much you love it. Not to mention his father dying in July of 93 had a ton to do with him just wanting to step away for a bit.

They'd certainly have plenty of room at Disney for NBA games. 3 decent-sized arenas that could be split into a total of 6 courts (or more if they wanted) so they could have 6 games going at once and that would condense the schedule immensely.

Is the wide world of sports complex different from the espn zone? Or am I thinking of the same thing?

The ESPN Zone was a series of restaurants. WWS is a behemoth of fields and arenas. They have 3 full-sized arenas that they use for AAU, college basketball, cheerleading competitions, and who knows what else. I've officiated AAU games there and it's impressive how they're able to carve out the space for all the different courts. In addition to Champion Stadium (where the Braves used to have their spring training before moving out after last year), they have roughly a dozen other baseball fields scattered around the complex. They've also got fields for soccer, lacrosse, and a small football stadium for the Pop Warner championships they host every year.

Ha, that’s right about ESPN zone. My daughter played a volleyball tournament a few years ago in Orlando and i thought the complex was somehow associated with ESPN, but was probably WWS.

ESPN has their name on it. In fact, a number of college football games are produced out of the media facilities at WWS.

With Disney unlikely to open at full capacity any time soon, I wonder if they'll hand over entire resorts to the NBA? The All Star resorts aren't far from WWS and would have a ton of rooms available. Though it'd be a bit surprising that the NBA would be put in a value resort.

Apparently Kobe's wife is the only one of the surviving family members that is going after the pilot's family for damages; the rest declined and are only suing the company. That seems tremendously shitty.

Yeah, I’m not exactly sure what her endgame is. Can’t possibly be money and if it’s an attempt to “bring justice” or whatever it feels horribly misguided because the pilot died too

The parents of the kids that died in the Sandy Hook shooting went after the mother of the shooter. She was the first victim. I'd imagine losing a child to a tragedy will make you do things that from the outside look questionable. On top of that I believe the pilot had had a previous incident when he didn't follow protocols

I have a hard time judging how anyone would react to something like that, I can't even imagine. On top of that it sounds like she probably wins? So idk man
This is what I said on 2/25. I don't know how I'd react. Maybe a third party finding fault would bring her some closure knowing it's official that someone screwed up.

Under the plan, 13 Western Conference teams and nine Eastern Conference teams will play eight regular-season games, a possible play-in tournament for the eighth seed and playoffs at the Walt Disney World Resort, sources said.

The top 16 teams in the Eastern and Western conferences will be joined by teams currently within six games of eighth place in the two conferences -- New Orleans, Portland, San Antonio, Sacramento, Phoenix and Washington, sources said.

The play-in tournament will include the No. 8 and No. 9 teams -- if the ninth seed finishes the regular season within four games of the eighth. In that case, the No. 9 seed would need to beat No. 8 seed twice to earn the playoff berth, while the No. 8 would need one win from the two potential games.

The NBA said the season resuming is contingent on an agreement with The Walt Disney Company, which owns ESPN, to use the Walt Disney Resort for all games, practices and housing.

Teams will begin training in Orlando starting July 9-11, sources said.

The league offered dates beyond the July 31-Oct. 12 season window, with the draft lottery set on Aug. 25, the NBA draft on Oct. 15 and the 2020-21 season likely beginning Dec. 1. Sources told ESPN that free agency could begin Oct. 18 with training camps starting Nov. 10.

Here is a list of what NBA players are allowed to display on their jerseys instead of their names.

Black Lives Matter; Say Their Names; Vote; I Can't Breathe; Justice; Peace; Equality; Freedom; Enough; Power to the People; Justice Now; Say Her Name; Sí Se Puede (Yes We Can); Liberation; See Us; Hear Us; Respect Us; Love Us; Listen; Listen to Us; Stand Up; Ally; Anti-Racist; I Am A Man; Speak Up; How Many More; Group Economics; Education Reform; and Mentor.

Not sure which one is my favorite.
