anyone have a team other than GS and Cleveland/Atlanta in the finals?
I could see Memphis or SA making a run but GS is by far the best in the West.

Wow, the Pelicans win and grab the 8th seed and eliminate OKC. Also, no idea Westbrook was close enough to win the scoring title. Really weird series of events. Not that it matters, GS will destroy either.
Let's see how long it takes for someone else to post ITT

I dont anticipate my mavs to make it more than 5 or 6 games the way they have been playing. should be a fun playoffs, though.

he wasnt really close to the 'scoring title' - he has the highest ppg but harden has bucketed many more buckets

The scoring title is measured by PPG though, no?

Clippers-Spurs should be a great series. The rest of the first round is pretty meh. The second round is where things will start to get good but it's hard to envision anything other than GSW-SA and Cavs-Hawks in the conference finals.

ok, yeah, that makes sense. I think Harden finished with 400 more points, which is the actual scoring title.
the NBA app lied to me

you were actually right. it goes by ppg. at least 60 games played and more than 1400 points scored are the criteria.

that seems arbitrary though. It should just be by points scored.

it's not arbitrary. that's how everyone measures pretty much every meaningful basketball statistic.

70 games played or 1400 points is arbitrary.

Why are you assuming no thought was put into those cutoffs?

There can be thought but it can still be arbitrary. Why 1400 points? Why not 1500? Its not like 1400 is some magic number.
If they removed those cutoffs and just went with "who scored the most points" which I think it should be, itd be a lot more cut and dry

kind of surprising considering how terrible the Wiz looked down the stretch.
I could see the Wizards beating the Hawks though. They have some pretty big upside with Wall and Beal. Wall has to max his potential though or else they don't have a chance

Greek Freak got a Flagrant 2 early and it was all downhill from there.
Nice turnaround this season regardless.
