Honestly, basketball is kind of lame given how much control players have to join a team and kill it outright. What KD and Kyrie did to the Nets is shitbag worthy and I hope that tarnishes KDs already bus-riding future.

yeah yesterday I had time to think about what happened with the Nets a little bit and it really pissed me off

there's a group of stars in the NBA who are nothing but mercenaries, jumping from team to team trying to engineer a championship inorganically: Kyrie, KD, Harden and honestly Lebron too. One of them moving completely shifts balance of the league (the Suns went from a "probably not gonna win" to THE favorite imo) and they move so often and so flowingly that it just isn't fun


it's why I appreciate guys like Lillard so much. He's been so dedicated to the Blazers that he's earned everyone's respect and at this point I really think the Blazers should trade him, similar to how the T-Wolves traded KG.

Who are they running their focus groups with? Seems so crazy to me how much effort they put into this technology that no one will use. It’s not even like “not pay for”, even if they just gave people the app to do this, who would waste any time on that?

Some game between the Kings and Clippers last night, 2nd highest scoring game ever, a 176-175 Kings win. Lots of press around Westbrook of course but feels like what the Kings are doing this season is being overlooked (but admittedly I'm not paying much attention). They're pretty securely in playoff position with 23 games to play and barring a catastrophe, which hey, they are the Sacramento Kings so it's possible, they'll break their Pittsburgh Pirates Memorial Major League Playoff Futility Streak this season.

I'm a sucker for underdog stories and as possibly the most obscure team in the four major US sports, I'm pulling for them.

My head goes to Darrent Williams from the Broncos who wasn’t even doing something bad but was shot in a drive by on NYE many years ago
