Without being a fan of the sport or possessing knowledge to any useful degree, was MJ as involved in the management of the team as Lebron appears to be? I mean, I know pretty much all superstars have a certain measure of input and involvement in personnel moves. And on-court he seems to be more of a play-coach type dude. In other words, he seems to take on more responsibility for the team's play on and off the court. Was MJ that involved?
I've been forced to watch parts of the finals games this year against my will, so I feel compelled to jump in here.

I think the only objective truth in the LJ discussions is that Skip Bayless is a **** stupid Canaan.

with regards to coaching/management - lbj only does it because the cleveland front office is full of nincompoopsWithout being a fan of the sport or possessing knowledge to any useful degree, was MJ as involved in the management of the team as Lebron appears to be? I agree with LITT. Like James, Jordan certainly had his hand in some personnel moves through the years, but he had a HOF coach. They butted heads sometimes, but ultimately Jordan respected Jackson and went with his system. James has had a mess of coaches.

All that’s left is for LeBron to join Joel Embiid, the PK Subban (obnoxious loudmouth) of the NBA, in Philly, so I can hate them even more. Trust the process! Philly Philly! The Eagles won the super bowl!
God, I’m seeing people saying the Caps winning the cup is worse than if the Flyers did - no. Just, no.

Not that I watch the NBA closely, but Lebron going to Philly would make what has already been an absolutely terrible sports year even worse.

Mavs with an absolute coup, picking Trae Young and trading him to Atlanta with a protected pick for Luka Doncic.

That must have been a special favor that ex-Dukie Quin Snyder did for Coach K. I’d say that I can’t wait to watch Grayson Allen fail miserably in the NBA but I rarely watch regular season games so that clown will thankfully fade into obscurity in the recesses of my brain. The Jazz took a white guy. Shocking.

MVP and ROY... they got it right imo. With Simmons, if the only argument you have for him not winning ROY is that maybe he's not technically a rookie since he was drafted the year before, you've already lost the argument.

The NBA continues to get more ridiculous. Demarcus Cousins signed a one year, $5.3 million deal with the freaking Warriors, using their mid level exception on one of the best players in the league.
The idea behind the MLE is that teams that are over the cap can still sign "role players" up to a specified amount. Of course, when Boogie freaking Cousins is willing to take an absurd discount to chase his one championship, it kind of blows that system out of the water. Even with him being out with the Achilles until probably December or January. And next season, he will get a monster deal after winning the title and shedding his locker room cancer label.
Their starting five for the second half of next year is now Curry/Klay/KD/Dray/DMC. Five all stars. You thought this postseason was bad?
