He passed away over the weekend. A few notes:

Keith Jackson on PBP

Apparently (in the 70s?), the NBA all star game festivities featured one on one games. That’s a good idea.

I always think a new post here means either a gross injury or a crazy box score.

TJ McConnell is pretty much the best player in the NBA

Hours later, he was traded to the Lakers.

I think the difference between the NBA and the NHL is that the NHL is largely irrelevant until the playoffs begin, the NBA is largely irrelevant until the Finals.

Competetively yes. Public interest-wise nah.

That's the 1st viral NBA highlight I saw all week that wasn't a laughably uncalled travel.

Incredible. The son of my ex-colleague is also named Vince Carter, and, similarly to the BB guy, he was also a top athlete (who never fulfilled his pro-potential due to an unfortunate injury). I remember my ex-colleague not being very happy that "Vince Carter" google searches always lead to the "other guy." That was something like 17-18 years ago!! :scared:

I posted in the investing thread and the NBA thread. I saw I was quoted by Tomas and did not expect it to be in this thread

Why don't you just go by "Vincent?"

I saw the video of his exit interview with his G League team. Magic and their GM came in and told him he was getting the call. Pretty sweet

10 years in the D/G League? That’s crazy. Up until recently he could have thrown a dart at a world map and made more money in that country’s professional league.

Ehhh that was some hyperbole. It's been 10 years since his G League debut but he definitively hasn't been playing there for ten years per his wiki

Because I don't want to create a separate "NBL" thread. Here is a funny Czech National Basketball League clip! :D

https://twitter.com/AntonMirolybov/stat ... 09/video/1

(originally, the referee committee awarded the game to the Yellow team, suspended the Blue player for 10 games, and suspended the referee for the remainder of the playoffs for "he could have handled the situation better." Today - I think correctly - the ruling against the Blue team were reversed, because it looks like the referee was not even touched, and the rest of the game will have to be replayed. The referee union is angry, but %@#&*$ them...)
