Maybe I'm remembering wrong but I could swear he played longer with the Raptors than the heat. Also the Grizz retiring Randolph's number? He was with the Blazers forever. Idk seems weird

Bosh spent 7 seasons with the Raptors to 6 with the Heat. Also put up better numbers with the Raptors than Heat. I think they're retiring his number because they were dicks to him and he was the only member of their most recent championship teams that stuck around. D-Wade's number should definitely be retired when the time arises but as it is now the only Heat number that should be retired is Zo.

Bosh will join Kobe, Duncan, and KG on a ridiculously stacked HOF ballot in 2021, which is weird to me because I don't think "Chris Bosh - Hall of Famer", but pretty much everyone considers him a lock for induction as soon as he shows up on the ballot.

its a disservice to kg duncan and kobe that bosh will be in the same breath as them
i was doing some research on bosh since this is really chapping my ass
he made a multitude of all star games but was a second team all nba player ONCE. never even first team.
that player does not belong in a hall of fame

his stats fell off a cliff once he had NBA players to share the ball with. i don't know if that's called Kevin Love Syndrome or Chris Bosh Syndrome. Or maybe Lebron James Syndrome.

Seems to be unanimous among the basketball media.

- Basketball Reference puts his HOF probability at .9951, which is seventh among active players behind LeBron, D-Wade, Dirk, CP3, KD, and Paul Pierce.
- Five seemingly stupid reasons from Fox Sports: http://www.foxsports.com/nba/story/5-re ... mer-100516
- Fansided: http://hoopshabit.com/2016/09/27/chris- ... me-player/

Blah blah blah. "Chris Bosh Hall of Fame" turns up a million results as why he's a HOFer, but beyond the "11 time All Star, 2 time champion" none of the reasoning seems that compelling to me. Congrats, he made the Raptors suck a bit less. These must be the people who voted Gretzky for the Hart Trophy over Lemieux in 88-89. At the end of the day I just think the Basketball Hall of Fame is easy to get into.

the nba loves to be sentimental. remember, this league celebrated kobe's "unforgettable" last game when both teams basically let him shoot 50 times and go 6-21 from three so that he could score 60 points.

its been 23 years since someone has had a quadruple double in the NBA. (david robinson)
its been 21 years since someone had a triple double + a nine in a fourth category (clyde drexler)
hakeem olajuwon almost had 2 quadruple doubles in one month. he had a quadruple double on 3/29/90 and had a triple double + nine in fourth category on 3/3/90.

there has never been a quintuple double above the high school
there have only been 2 5x5s (at least 5 points, rebs, assts, steals, blocks) in the nba since 1984 - olajuwon and andrei kirilenko

Basketball has beautiful beautiful stats. I never watch the games but I follow the box scores pretty much daily.

I'm trying to think of what an NHL equivalent would be of the obsession over what shoes Ball is wearing.

Kyrie Irving demanded a trade from the Cavs today. Tired of playing second fiddle to Bron.

Cavs signed Derrick Rose at the veteran minimum, 1 year, $2.1 million. What could have been with his career...

Oh my god...Gordon Hayward just suffered an absolutely horrific leg injury. I implore you, do not watch the video.

Just terrible.

That is so brutal in so many ways: the actual physical pain, the emotional trauma, the potential career changing consequences, the fact that it happened one game into his career in Boston, what it means for the team this year and in the future, etc etc. just awful feel terrible for the dude.
