Jimmy Butler's full blown heel turn is fun to watch.

Derrick Rose dropped 50 points last night, more impressively he didn't injure himself.

Sixers Eastern Conf. odds went from 7-1 to 3-1 and championship odds from 30-1 to 16-1 after the Butler trade.

Yup...he looked damn good last night, although they still barely beat the Jazz.

I'm just not seeing a scenario where Philly doesn't win a title in the next few years. Especially with Golden State nearing the end of their window.

I hope they do, so more people from Philly have a reason to lick horse turds.

The Warriors are 19-10. Is this just a case of them not giving a dook because its the regular season? I know they played Toronto who are the best team in the league(?) but I was just shocked to hear they've already got 10 loses.

i check in with the NBA almost daily. it's a silly sport in a lot of ways, but i think it's fun to follow. i don't even watch games. at all. i guess this is kind of the point. they create big stories and personalities and encourage BIG events. the fact that the best team almost always wins the title is also helpful to rope in casual fans. the chaos of parity is also a good thing, but it lowers the stakes of off-court activity. so when player A moves to team B, it actually matters.

if only basketball itself was worth watching...

Also...Giannis is the best player in the world and the clear MVP. I have nothing to back this argument up except that I’m aware of what lebron is now, and James Harden is a variation of “good player on a bad team”...except he’s really good and his team isn’t bad. But it’s the same phenomenon and doesn’t qualify him for MVP.

Guess that means Jeanie Buss won. She supports Walton and wanted to sign good players to support LeBron. Magic instead decided to sign **** players in an attempt to suck and have an excuse to fire Walton.

dwayne wade and dirk nowitzki are playing their last games in the nba this week. two of the best players in NBA history.
dwayne wade is probably somewhere in the 3-6 best SG in nba history behind MJ, kobe and then jerry west/AI/wade.
dirk 2nd or 3rd best PF in nba history behind duncan and the mail man.
generational talents that were amazing to watch in their prime. the nba will not look the same without them next year
