2.5 seasons in, and I really like the show, so I made a thread about it. What? Wanna fight about it?
My favorite two characters from BB were Gus and Mike, so I'm stoked to see that their relationship is getting played out start to finish. Also, Chuck is still a dadhole. I wonder if this trial is how he goes from Jimmy to Saul.

She doesn't do much for me... and I'm not fully sure why she's so infatuated with Jimmy, but it makes for a good story.

Are you sure you're only 2.5 seasons in? The trial is just getting started and Gus and Mike just recently met.

Isn't it currently season 3? So two full seasons and then halfish through season 3?Are you sure you're only 2.5 seasons in? The trial is just getting started and Gus and Mike just recently met.

I'm dumb. Somehow read that as 0.5 of the way thru season 2.
Anyway Kim's pretty hot, especially the few times she has her hair down. I was all in on Betsy Kettleman. Her husband tho, huge cuck.

I remember Mrs. Kettleman as the cute friend from Hitch.

So that was awesome.
Needed that epidode as a palette cleanser after that shitshow game.
...but the thing about this show is that jimmy can never just have a win. Something is gonna backfire on him this season.

Just watched it... great episode. I liked Chuck's explanation of Jimmy's actions: wrong, but he doesn't have a mean bone in his body, so they seem almost noble.
Ever since Jimmy saw that it was all just in Chuck's head, I wondered where/when he was going to expose him. He chose wisely.

I am really impressed by the creativity of the plots that various main characters have used in BB and BCS. Whether it's Walt, Mike, Gus, or Saul, the writers have come up with ingenious (and illegal) plots to get out of tight spots for them. I wouldn't say that all of them have been realistic, but I think they've all been plausible enough that they don't take you out of the moment as a viewer.

That's something I always loved about BB. It always teetered right on that line between over the top and realistic. Remembering back to BB, Walt blowing up Tuco's office is about the only thing I remembered rolling my eyes at. BCS has yet to have anything were I'm saying "Pshh, that'd never be possible."

Destroying Gus' laptop from outside of the police station was really the only point I was like, "okay c'mon."
My heart was in my throat the time Hank was trying to pry open the campers door in the junk yard and they got out of it. Not too many shows I've watched where I'm so into the moment I almost forget im watching tv.

I'm waiting for the HOLY F*CK!!!! moment in BCS. Gus with the box cutter was that for me in BB.

It's possible Jimmy's path to Saul Goodman could have been more uninteresting...but doubtful
everything else was top notch, though.

Yeah. I really wanted it to be something illegal, something fun, something just... different.

What - you didn't enjoy that deep dive into the world of local New Mexico tv advertising?Yeah. I really wanted it to be something illegal, something fun, something just... different.
This show is the most clever thing I've ever seen on tv. Which make this a reeeeeal head scratcher.

I thought for sure he'd get disbarred, change his name, pass the bar again under that name, do some shady sh*t and be back in the game.

Me too. I expected some weird New Mexico loop hole about name changing and lawyer suspensions.
Better Call Saul (spoilers...)
There's a chance that something like that could still go down. This just let him get his name established.

Just watched. Yeah the name isn't the story, it's how he took his career and life down that path.

I made the mistake of telling my wife I wouldn't watch new episodes until we got her caught up to the new episodes. We're on Season 2 Episode 2. So it might be a bit before I get caught up.

Not the best episode but the last few weeks have built up some equity with me I wont complain.
When its all said and done Mike Ehrmantraut moves into top 10 tv characters of all time. I said it.

Not a great one this week. Only 2 left. If they're only running 10 episode seasons there really shouldn't be any snoozers like there are.
