I guess we're back to posting editorials.

I think we all agree that armed self-defense is a right. But it behooves BOTH sides of the conversation to figure out what that means while considering the safety of society at large

It’s so obvious that the gun rights activists are working on bad faith in all this. Whenever a guns rights decision is affirmed or whatever, Shyster (and his ilk) posts a “lol crying libs!!” meme. Which is horrible considering most of the gun conversations happen on the tail end of CHILDREN DYING IN SCHOOLS

It’s lame. It all comes off as small dick energy by the conservatives who refuse to understand how maybe things should change. And it’s funny when they reactively point to 2A like it’s some universal axiom. Yeah, the forefathers also implemented a pretty neat tool to change the things that became archaic or outdated; they understood that society and its priorities can and will change

I don't agree with any of your progressive gun solutions. I'm never going to agree with any of your progressive gun solutions. I support blocking (and overturning) your progressive gun solutions because I do not agree with them and never will agree with them.

Don't effing assume I have not considered this topic. I have, repeatedly, for literally decades. I have considered all of the ways that "maybe things should change" on guns. And I don't agree with any of them.

Upholding an enumerated constitutional right isn't gaming the system. The whole point of the Bill of Rights is to set forth topics that the government cannot eff with, and protecting those rights is what the Supreme Court is supposed to to.

Look at it this way, that 10 year old could have shot that fetus in the womb and claimed self defense under the Castle Doctrine. The gun nuts would have applauded that.

How do they know what political affiliation all those people have? Democrat racist, republican racist, great spaghetti monster worshipping racist. They’re simply put “racists” and they are bad. It’s like when a child is raped or trafficked we still see things like “young woman” or “teen girl” and “coerced into sex” or “inappropriate relations” instead of rape.

Yeah… the point I think shyster was trying to convey is there are racists that are on the left. Yeah… congrats. You cracked the case Sherlock. It’s right up there with posting a tweet about a shooting in Scandinavia and saying “SEE?!?! It happens elsewhere so no problemo here in the grand ole US of A!!!”

Seeing those tweets was jarring, and more than a little disturbing. You don't expect to see such blatant use of that word...at least I don't. It's also incredibly powerful to realize who it is directed at, who is using it, and why.

You seem to be more bothered by the fact that you had to witness it than the fact that it actually happened...then you jab the poster that made you have to see it. You just shot the messenger.

Having said all of that...it probably should have been spoilered, and I got absolutely no problem removing it given the jarring nature of the tweets. But Shyster equals Ghoulish? Nah.
