One of the local newspapers shared the article about Musk exposing himself and, immediately, 100+ comments are made from R's saying how it's so convenient this came out just after Musk changed parties. Now these folks are 100% aboard the "it's all a liberal conspiracy" train. Say what you will about Musk, but he's following Trump's playbook to a T, and the base is devouring it.

It's like cheeseball names like Testaverde's Testicular Cancer Awareness Tarantulas or Sapp's Squids Against Obesity...whatever...seems like a good place for a Musk's Cucks banner to go...

The "left" would prefer that employers that hire undocumented immigrants be punished rather than the poor souls that live in the shadows.

Remove the incentive structure and maybe you'll do better to limit the number of folks trying to cross the border.

Immigrants are predisposed to voting democrat. in fact, lots of immigrant populations are right leaning (see communist exiles), don't think we see the Democrats demanding those populations be deported.

The only segment of that population that the "left/democrats" seem to actually advocate for are the people that crossed the border as kids (aka Dreamers). I don't think it's some crass position those folks should be given citizenship.

Man, this really hit a nerve for you. You can't fathom how someone who doesn't align with either party would view your party in a negative light on a specific issue. I'll admit that my view is based on my perception. Troy, CBear, and others post the issue from their perspective, adding insight as a counter to my perception/opinion. I don't completely buy it, mind you, but it's at least constructive. And when I say 'I don't completely buy it' I don't mean that I think any of you are being disingenuous. I just...as fervently anti-everything-right-of-me as the 'left' seems to be right now, I can't help but think their passion for this issue would be shaken if the demographic they were 'fighting for' was 'more right'. That's not some crazy point of view. On the flip side, if people were crossing the border and living in the shadows wearing MAGA hats, I'll betcha the 'racists' on the right would be pushing legislation to get them in the system. Ignoring and/or denying that for many...even people in the middle... it's at least part of this discussion seems purposefully ignorant, and attacking that perspective with belittlement and sarcasm tends to come off as 'VLB doth protest too much, methinks'. But hey man....you do you...

but...and I honestly hope this doesn't come off as preachy...you're really kinda encapsulating the point I was trying to make about why people not in your bubble really aren't big fans of your party at the moment...and even willing to vote Republican despite the sh*tshow on that side. I really feel that when Independents, some Moderates, and even Libertarians reference the negativity, toxicity, and hateful nature of the political landscape today, they're referring to your side just as much as they're referring to the MAGA idiots. That doesn't mean I think you or anyone ITT on either side is a bad person...just trying to give you a perspective of how some may view how you choose to engage.

I mean c’mon now, and I say this as a lifelong R till the past 10 years or so, started trending Libertarian then totally jumped ship except party reg once Trump came along-there’s no elected equivalent on the left to MTG, Gaetz, Bobert, and Cawthorn who praise Jesus voters had the good sense to vote out. If the current R leadership had any shame they’d be embarrassed.

I mean Q Anon alone virtually corners the loon market for the right. Saw a Q Anon bumper sticker the other day. I mean, really?
