Seems as though the shower really had nothing to do with it. Not sure why that's even part of the story. He was "running" around with his dog. Grabbed his tail, the dog slid on a throw rug, and he tripped over the rug.“What happened was I got out of the shower. I got a dog and anybody who’s been around my house knows — dropped, little pup dropped a ball in front of me. And for me to grab the ball,” Biden told CNN journalist Jake Tapper in his first post-election joint interview with Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.
“And I’m walking through this little alleyway to get to the bedroom. And I grabbed the ball like this and he ran. And I’m joking, running after him and grab his tail. And what happened was that he slid on a throw rug. And I tripped on the rug he slid on. That’s what happened. Oh man, not a very exciting story.”

In what sense?Joe Biden = Jimmy Carter
That's kind of premature. No flash, not particularly interesting, put you to sleep Presidencies.
Personally, more so than policy. And I wasn't alive for Carter's term. That's kind of premature. No flash, not particularly interesting, put you to sleep Presidencies.
Were you following the news during Carter's presidency?

You had the Iran hostages and oil crisis, but I literally can't think of anything else that happened in those four years.
...we didn't start the fire..Russia invaded Afghanistan, with the subsequent boycott of the Moscow Olympics by the US; pardoned Vietnam-era draft dodgers; SALT II; Dept of Education established; garnered 49 electoral votes in reelect, which is not very many.
Rogue Warrior! He just turned 80 a couple of weeks ago. I think I told you I met him back in 2004 during my CG days. Even at 64 dude was intimidating as hell. Also, the failed Iran hostage rescue mission lead to the establishment of SEAL Team Six, and the ultimate reformation of the US special operations community in the structure we know today. So that's neat.

Always interesting to thing about those historical inflection points. You should listen to the blindspot podcast. There is an interesting line from that period to the WTC bombing to then 9/11Camp David accordsPersonally, more so than policy. Carter (and IMO, especially Cyrus Vance) deserve a lot of credit for that. It's a shame that Sadat was assassinated only a couple of years later. Makes you wonder how history would have been different, especially with the Muslim Brotherhood/Islamism on the rise since the Arab Spring (more aptly Arab Winter).
That is literally what went through my head when I read the first bullet...we didn't start the fire..Russia invaded Afghanistan, with the subsequent boycott of the Moscow Olympics by the US; pardoned Vietnam-era draft dodgers; SALT II; Dept of Education established; garnered 49 electoral votes in reelect, which is not very many.
