I think I have said this before but you better hope medicare for all is better then the medicare for this senior is. If I want anything at all for hearing, dental or eyes, I had to buy a supplement plan. My medicare also will only cover percentages of other health issues. I also have to pay for Medicare part B to get prescription drugs covered.

You folks must have some kick ass insurance. As a self-employed schlub, I have a deductible in the thousands and then UPMC pays 80% until I hit my out of pocket max which is another several thousand. No eye. No hearing. No dental. No prescriptions. And this lovely insurance runs me around $400 a month.

I'm self-insured as well. For me it was a lot cheaper before Obamacare when I could get a decent policy from United Healthcare. Afterwards it went way up and it covered less.

I rolled the dice and never had health insurance before Obamacare.

All insurance sucks, except probably grunts’s plan, paid by insurance fairies or some other phenomenon.

And insurance only sucks because it’s downstream of the ridiculous price gouging that healthcare providers have been subjecting us to.

I think the only hope at this point is a Medicare for all that could exercise some price controls and force some changes on the provider side.

Price controls fail in every area they are tried. Why would they work in healthcare?

When I had just Medicare part A and B I had to go on a drug called Lialda for a UC condition I developed. The drug cost me over $500 a month (4 pills a day). I did some research and was able to get the same drug from a Canadian pharmacy for around $70 a month.

I just did a little checking on the Lialda drug I was taking in 2015 and mentioned above is going for around $1200 now here, and in Canada for around $330. Pretty large increase in five years in both countries. That is a monthly cost if on 4 pills daily.

They seem to work in Canada.

I take Entresto (it's on TV) and it retails for $550/month but luckily I only have to pay $50. Medicaid/Medicare won't pay for this drug.

Yup, Medicare wouldn't pay for my Lialda either. Luckily I don't need it right now.

The Trump administration is deploying law enforcement tactical units from the southern border as part of a supercharged arrest operation in sanctuary cities across the country, an escalation in the president’s battle against localities that refuse to participate in immigration enforcement.

The specially trained officers are being sent to cities including Chicago and New York to boost the enforcement power of local Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers, according to two officials who are familiar with the secret operation. Additional agents are expected to be sent to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Houston, Boston, New Orleans, Detroit and Newark, N.J.

MSNBC sends out Nicole Wallace and Joe Scarbarough to complain about Trump for like 6 hours every day. The DC political press has so fully embraced the notion of "media bias" that they they have to platform all these GOP establishment hacks to complain about Trump, as though any other normal person's criticism is invalid because they're biased.
Are they really still doing this every day????? Genuinely would rather watch lou Dobbs say absolutely bonkers **** than watch joe Scarborough complaining that trump is mean in a way that normal people find funny
