I'm still amazed at his use of Twitter and how many people are just fine with him lying day in and day out via this platform.

Trump going off this morning. He seems to grasp that he needs to control the narrative of what he said and just how bad it was on Live TV.
Exhibit 1 for why he was never going to sit for an in-person interview with Mueller.
The more I think about it, I'm astounded at him actually saying it. Maybe Pelosi's long-game here is let him incriminate himself lol.
To me the biggest deals of this aren't that he's open to taking and using information from a foreign 'Norway'. It is 1) that he intimated this sort of thing is totes regular and if you get members of Congress to talk 'honestly' about it they'll tell you they do it all the time (implying that there's a motive for talking about this conduct dishonestly), and 2) that he asserted FBI Director Wray is flat wrong in setting forth his interpretation of black-letter law that this sort of thing is call-the-FBI-worthy.

During his confirmation hearing, Hack Barr (dang, I wish I had thought of that one) was bluntly asked if a candidate was on the receiving end of information from a foreign power should they report that to the FBI. He took a very weirdly long pause before answering that yes, if a candidate was in receipt of information from a foreign intelligence service they should contact the FBI. Not just representatives of a foreign government.

Didn't Trump just try to rag on Chris Cuomo for a twitter typo?

The best part of the Trump "typos" are that they aren't always typos. He probably legit thought it was Prince of Whales.

Donald Trump Jr. will be heading to Michigan to fight Rep. Justin Amash in a primary battle, people close to the Trump Organization executive told CNBC on the condition of anonymity. This comes after Trump’s son tweeted out a poll showing Amash losing to his only challenger so far in the race, state legislator Jim Lower, and hinting he will be heading to the Wolverine State to take on the four term lawmaker.

“See you soon Justin... I hear Michigan is beautiful during primary season,” Trump Jr. said.
Amash for his part responded to the possibility of Trump Jr. working the primary. “If it’s what you say I love it especially later in the summer,” he said.
Amash 2020.

"Do you feel that, babe?"
"It's just an earthquake, hon."
"Oh. Ok."
That's pretty much exactly how the convo goes. You note the movement, and within 2 sec you know if it's something that's going to be a chuckle and forgotten in a day, or international news.

lol they're so concerned about seemingly a low-level GOP member who may become independent and his response was great.

The agency that enforces the Hatch Act recommends that Kellyanne Conway be "removed from federal service" for "disparaging Democratic presidential candidates while speaking in her official capacity" on TV and social media.

I'm going to guess that like most other things close to Trump, this is not going to matter.

I thought it was something like, "whatabbout the democrats?"
saying their findings are "deeply flawed and violate her constitutional rights to free speech and due process"
Yet another item that doesn't apply to this administration. Couldn't even imagine the riots Obama would have to endure had this happened during his presidency.

TIL the official name of the Hatch Act is "An Act to Prevent Pernicious Political Activities". Which is just a wave of unneeded alliteration, although kudos for the use of 'pernicious'.

The White House immediately rejected the office’s recommendation that Conway be fired, saying its findings are “deeply flawed and violate her constitutional rights to free speech and due process.”

Under the law, the decision to remove Conway is up to Trump and not the OSC.

The independent agency, which is unrelated to former special counsel Robert Mueller of the Russia investigation, has never recommended that the White House fire an employee over Hatch Act violations.

The Hatch Act dates to 1939, so it's fun if you read that official title in an old timey Hollywood mogul accent (or Terrance and Phillip voice, same thing).

I seem to remember the GOP going after Al Gore for violating the Hatch act when he was VP. Of course they wanted him out over it.

Bastion of Anti-Vaccine Fervor: Progressive Waldorf Schools:

The Waldorf schools were founded in the early 20th century on the teachings of Rudolf Steiner, a charismatic Austrian educator who preached a philosophy called “anthroposophy” that included eccentric medical theory.

He taught that diseases were influenced by “astral bodies” and that humans can also breathe through their skin. While he did not completely reject the vaccines against smallpox and diphtheria used in his day, he said rosemary baths were better for diphtheria and that smallpox could be avoided by being mentally prepared to confront it.
