I think this whole thing is more about Roberts than Kavanaugh. I can see the former moving to a more moderate position on cultural fights.

Teacher fired for refusing to use transgender student's pronouns

It’s not suggested that the 47-year-old West Point High School French teacher deliberately referred to the student using female pronouns in the student’s presence, but in conversations with others.

Witnesses described a “slip-up” when the student was about to run into a wall and Vlaming told others to stop “her.” When discussing the incident with administrators, Vlaming made it clear he would not use male pronouns, a stance that led to his suspension referral for disciplinary action.

Vlaming told superiors that his Christian faith prevented him from using male pronouns for the student. Vlaming said he had the student in class the year before when the student identified as female.

Vlaming’s attorney, Shawn Voyles, says his client offered to use the student’s name and to avoid feminine pronouns, but Voyles says the school was unwilling to accept the compromise.

There's a really interesting lawsuit there, if the teacher were to pursue it. There is a significant constitutional question on the intersection of pronoun mandates and the compelled-speech doctrine of the First Amendment. It's not even really a question of religious beliefs; it's a matter of whether the government (which we have here in the form of a public school) can compel its employees to say certain things or face punishment.

It's not reported in the Post story, but the dog's owner was not home when the evac order came in. They were prevented from returning to their house.

They were just interviewed on Inside Edition and the owners said they left them because they refused to get in the car.

I hate that ****. All these picture things of him as a savior and that nonsense is a terrible thing to invest in. Let's wait and see what happens.

And it's just as bad on the other side and our president posts the same kinds of things trying to discredit it and morons buy into it. It's a **** embarrassment and my personal opinion is that regardless of the outcome, people are so heavily invested in this thing without knowing all the facts that it's already caused permanent damage to this country.
