A NK isn’t very happy about “political dummy” Mike Pence talking about the Libya model coming into play if no denuke deal is made.

Trump said nice things about NK, and NK again proved they are NK. Hollow compliments were never going to accomplish anything.

South Korea's presidential Blue House seems blind-sided by Trump's cancelation of the summit: "We are attempting to make sense of what, precisely, President Trump means," says spokesman Kim Eui-kyeom.

https://twitter.com/megwagner/status/999659079743094785CNN's Will Ripley is in North Korea and just witnessed the destruction of a nuclear site. "Being inside this country hours after they blow up the nuclear site and learning of this, it was a very awkward and uncomfortable moment."

Isn’t this what Trump was supposed to do? Pull out of the meeting if NK started to Be threatening and go back on their word.

I'm honestly asking, what did they do to go back on their word? ONly news I saw was they destroyed one of the nuclear sites and that doesn't sound like going backward?Isn’t this what Trump was supposed to do? Pull out of the meeting if NK started to Be threatening and go back on their word.

Ha, I just saw a tweet about this.
The pivot from "Trump not getting enough credit for meeting with NK" to "Trump not getting enough credit for cancelling the meeting".
I understand there is some nuance to all of this, but from what I saw, overall most people were encouraged by the potential meeting, but a lot of folks were pointing out that he didn't deserve the Nobel Peace prize. But right, Trump was fully within his right to pull back.

I don't mind that he pulled out of the meeting. It makes sense if they've pretty much drawn a line in the sand and said "we're not budging".

They started threatening us again and warned us about total denuclearization that Bolton was talking about.

I fail to see how the US was played by NK. We agreed to meet with them as long as our conditions were met. NK started to not meet all our conditions, so we cancelled.

they destroyed some nuclear sites, returned hostages.. could have went worse imo

My guess is in their thinking of they always have been and always will, so why do it. They were on a level playing field with the US for a short period. I don't necessarily subscribe to that, but that's what I see

Trump says deals are easy; he’s the worlds best deal maker; nobody but himself can do these deals. He’s said this about trade deficits, Healthcare reform, and North Korea. These things are beyond the remedy of “Trump magic”.
