Against my better judgment, I mentioned that the Sharpie thing was unfounded. She wanted proof, so I sent those two articles. She thinks they are fake news (specifically said something about the paper being run by Democrats).

So people can choose their own facts/realities. I think we are doomed, and that’s not hyperbole.

Anyone has any data point at their disposal, whether it's true or not to use as a defense mechanism to make themselves feel safe. We're going nowhere, but down, fast, imo.

Yes, if it's popular enough to be touted like this on FoxNews, it's because they believe a majority of the people that watch the channel, support what they're saying.

I refuse to watch the evening FOX news crew like Tucker and Ingram, etc. That stuff is sick and sad.

Honestly, after listening to those cops yesterday, it makes me hope and wish that everyone that breached the capitol or were part of the violence outside gets the max they can get in prison and can eat ****.

I'm all for peaceful protest as long as you are not violent, destroying stuff, etc, even if it is for something batshit crazy and dumb. But those actions were uncalled for and should be punished by the fullest extent of the law.

I grew up an hour from Rutland VT (in upstate NY). other than the local community college, most of my high school classmates went to the University of Vermont because they were dirty hippies and knew they could smoke pot there
