One party is an absolute circus freak display, the other are a bunch of centrists that treat standard European nation policy as forbidden fruit, so just struggle to run to “moderate” / “middle”, which is meaningless because the republican culture is opposed to everything the democrats do

A Louisiana Army National Guard officer faced 30 days of confinement, but no loss of rank after planting his face between a subordinate’s breasts.

Captain Billy Crosby Jr. was allowed to retire with benefits, according to military.com.

Crosby was the woman’s company commander in the Louisiana National Guard and was the senior officer at his post in Jordan. She was also his direct subordinate.

An exact age for Crosby was not given, but Crosby was 52 at the time of an October 2021 filing that said the woman was half his age.

The incident in question happened at Joint Training Center in Jordan in May 2021, according to military court documents. Crosby placed his face between the sergeant’s breasts, moving his face from side to side, according to the documents.

He previously told the sergeant that he wanted her to ride with him to another installation because he liked looking at her chest and previously announced twice that he was going to “motorboat” the woman during her promotion ceremony from specialist to sergeant, according to the court documents.

According to the documents, “the term ‘motorboating’ is commonly used to describe when a person places his or her face between a female’s breasts and shakes his or her head back and forth while making a sound resembling a boat motor.”

Crosby asked the woman if she wanted a promotion ceremony, which she declined, the documents read.

A day or so later, though, Crosby went into the room where the sergeant was working with another person and performed an impromptu ceremony in which he placed his face between her breasts, according to the documents.

He told her to stand up, “placed the rank in front of her chest, and leaned in to grab the rank with his teeth. (Crosby) then placed his face between (the sergeant’s) breasts. His face made contact with the middle of her chest. He vigorously moved his head from side to side between (her) breasts while still holding the rank with his teeth.”

The "left" would prefer that employers that hire undocumented immigrants be punished rather than the poor souls that live in the shadows.

Remove the incentive structure and maybe you'll do better to limit the number of folks trying to cross the border.

Immigrants are predisposed to voting democrat. in fact, lots of immigrant populations are right leaning (see communist exiles), don't think we see the Democrats demanding those populations be deported.

The only segment of that population that the "left/democrats" seem to actually advocate for are the people that crossed the border as kids (aka Dreamers). I don't think it's some crass position those folks should be given citizenship.

Man, this really hit a nerve for you. You can't fathom how someone who doesn't align with either party would view your party in a negative light on a specific issue. I'll admit that my view is based on my perception. Troy, CBear, and others post the issue from their perspective, adding insight as a counter to my perception/opinion. I don't completely buy it, mind you, but it's at least constructive. And when I say 'I don't completely buy it' I don't mean that I think any of you are being disingenuous. I just...as fervently anti-everything-right-of-me as the 'left' seems to be right now, I can't help but think their passion for this issue would be shaken if the demographic they were 'fighting for' was 'more right'. That's not some crazy point of view. On the flip side, if people were crossing the border and living in the shadows wearing MAGA hats, I'll betcha the 'racists' on the right would be pushing legislation to get them in the system. Ignoring and/or denying that for many...even people in the middle... it's at least part of this discussion seems purposefully ignorant, and attacking that perspective with belittlement and sarcasm tends to come off as 'VLB doth protest too much, methinks'. But hey man....you do you...

but...and I honestly hope this doesn't come off as preachy...you're really kinda encapsulating the point I was trying to make about why people not in your bubble really aren't big fans of your party at the moment...and even willing to vote Republican despite the sh*tshow on that side. I really feel that when Independents, some Moderates, and even Libertarians reference the negativity, toxicity, and hateful nature of the political landscape today, they're referring to your side just as much as they're referring to the MAGA idiots. That doesn't mean I think you or anyone ITT on either side is a bad person...just trying to give you a perspective of how some may view how you choose to engage.

I think, and obviously as a ‘leftist’ it’s biased, that we often confuse the people on the left/right versus the legislative agenda’s of the left/right.
I think people on the extremes can be hateful and intolerable. I think many lump the center right or center left into the whole half of the spectrum and characterize them as their extremes and it fuels the toxicity.
But when we talk about legislation, the left talks about attacking corporate society and the wealthy but don’t do anything about it because it’s lip service. Other than that, I can’t think of a group they target as enemies of the country at large. Maybe Shyster and his fellow gun owners but about the only thing they’ve even tried to bring to a vote is red flag laws.
Meanwhile, the right recently has targeted women, the poor, immigrants, and those who don’t experience sexuality the same way the Bible says to in actual legislation across the country.
This is the whole argument Mikey always gets into. The negativity and hate from individual people takes over your desire to have functioning government that helps society. I don’t want that team to win even though I like the players, because those fans are total ****-heads. Rather than focusing on how a government run by that party’s legislative agenda would actually look like.

Lol. It took 3 minutes to google the actual conversation and see that there was nothing hateful or racist. The quote of 'correct for race' just means breaking out data by different demographics to see what outliers are driving the overall number up...so you know where to focus possible solutions and resources. He then mentions a couple ideas to help drive better health outcomes for African American women, and identify and help eliminate disparities in how African Americans experience healthcare.

So, on the hateful scale, we'll give him a 2.5. 1 point for being Republican, so obviously racist. 1 point for being a white southern male that 'dared' to speak about true and actual disparities with regards to race... especially when it comes to health outcomes. And .5 points for wording that horribly.

For reading a Vanity Fair headline and immediately attacking him as a hateful racist? I'll let you score yourself. Feel free to take one point off for at least not saying he should eat a bullet.
