Mulvaney now saying that he didn’t do those crimes he talked about having done earlier today.

That’ll get everyone off the scent

And I noted earlier that there's also the ethical minefield of the sitting Senators who are candidates for POTUS sitting in judgment of the incumbent.

Would seem to make logical and practical sense for them to all be recused.

Biden is toast. Hunter is a grifter, and my impression is that Biden Sr would find it comical that any of Hunter's dealing would influence his work in government. But if the state department is warning you about potential conflicts, you don't just brush them off.

He's not going anywhere. He's got plenty of excuses still: The staffer pocketed the concern, nobody mentioned it to me. My son (the chosen one) was dying of cancer at the time so my personal time was pretty well taken up with that.

I'm not enamoured with Biden himself as President. I think he's an ok human, but what I do prefer is the more centrist positions he takes.

It was interesting that Mayor Pete and Klobuchar both went after him a bit because they've acknowledged know their gains will have to come at his expense.

It'll be too easy for Trump to run the same campaign he did in 2016 if Biden is the nominee. And the press is perfectly fine reporting on the appearance of a conflict of interest. Trump's non-stop conflicts would be consistently weighed against Hunter Biden. The facebook disinformation campaign probably only worked because the mainstream press was churning out corrupt hillary stories on a daily basis. I don't think that sort of tactic works in a vacuum beyond the infowars crowd.
