Can I get a source, please and thank you?

My best guess is supply chain issues (mostly because I just read/heard somewhere that 1/3 of the 2021 inflation could be attributed to car shortages and that shortage is due to a chip shortage and that shortage is due to supply chain issues) and labor shortages.

If you Google "stimulus inflation" there are a ton of hits from very reputable sites. Didn't see one right wing site on the first page of Google. Here's a good one.

What's worrying is that the initial studies, if anything, may have underestimated the duration and severity of the inflation.

So it’s assisting inflation. Not necessarily the biggest driving factor. I can get behind that.

Fox is hammering two points pretty much. Inflation and going to war with Russia.

Also Flynn came out in support of Russia, so thank god he spoke up.

It's apparent to me that inflation is caused by--and is a factor of--any increase in size of the money supply. Other Keynesian explanations for inflation are horsefeathers. 40% of US dollars in existence were printed in the last 12 months. 80% of US dollars in existence were printed in the last two years. Inflation is not a matter of increasing prices. Inflation is a matter of falling purchasing power. It's not that prices are going up, it's the purchasing power of a dollar going down.

James Carville in 1992 said, "It's the economy, stupid." Today, I would say to all of the Keynesian economists blathering about supply chains and consumer spending, "It's the money supply, stupid."

From my little corner of the manufacturing world:
We can’t seem to get stuff our stuff out of Asia, and we’re pretty vertically integrated. We can’t get plastics from our domestic suppliers because they can’t get the raw material. Cost for raw sheet steel or stainless is through the roof.

I’m sure a portion of that is stimulus related demand, but we also don’t have the labor force we used to. The plastic supplier for instance had the office staff on the floor for a whole month. We’ve been fighting tooth and nail to staff our assembly lines at over $15/hr.
Demand is definitely up, but it’s not the direct to consumer stuff that is seeing the most growth.

They don't call it the dismal science for no reason.

This is the other right wing talking point. "BIDEN NEEDS TO FIRE HIMSELF!"

Brah we just spent 4 years of one guy attacking the media he doesn't like when it was your team.

Yeah.. there is no moral hill to stand on if you said nothing during the 4 years of Trump berating everyone and anyone.

Biden shouldn't have said it. I expect better out of our president.

I actually think there does need to be some kind of punishment for the president, but if we're gonna pretend we care about what Biden said about accountability, but then completely ignore the other half that people let go when it comes to accountability, that person deserves a:

Only when the namecalling is done via tweet is it acceptable to the right.

I just realized that the guy asking those questions is Doocy, who does nothing but push right wing absurd talking points in literally every single press conference. **** him.

They tried to intimidate polling places and failed. They tried to storm the Capitol to intimidate electors and failed. Does anybody think 2024 is going to go smoothly? They tried without guns and failed. My guess is they try harder next time.

My guess is vote counting in urban areas with GOP observers will get uglier in elections to come.
