This is accurate.

Who thinks they can do that?

People who don't understand why General Motors hasn't turned in any ventilators this week.

Some people on here. I questioned companies like GM making vents without partnering with companies who already make vents. It sounds great but doesn’t make tons on sense to me.

I just think the whole thing is a marketing ploy. Yea they might make some vents, but do we really think they are even put a dent into the need. I don’t. It was a way for Trump to act like there was a handle on the needs for vents.

Yeah, this isn't really a case where a GM company that builds cars is switching over to building some other, uglier, type of motor vehicle for the military during WWII. This is a completely different widget.

Wouldn't it have made more sense for the government to reach to existing manufacturers of ventilators to see how they could help them dramatically increase production rather than go to a completely different entity?

A ton of people who have no concept of "factory" and "production"...I'd imagine that age has something to do with that, but to what degree I can't be sure...

Red Lion woman cited $200 in violation of the stay-at-home order after going for a drive
Thoughts on this? I think it's a load of manure.

Pulled over for window tint is BS, but I don't mind an example being made if it could save lives. Just don't pick random people driving around.

I'll second the load of manure. Not hurting anyone driving around in your own car.

Why aren’t you able to just drive around if you aren’t going in anywhere? People can’t mentally be in one place all the time. Not allowing people to even wander drive or walk will cause even more problems.

This is a story worth watching.

I've been silently wondering about this from the beginning. I would not put it past the Chinese government to be behind this. Not saying this was a deliberately released virus, but interesting to think about the prospect that it *was* something that was engineered which the Chinese accidentally let loose on their own population.

Total speculation of course. I also thought the fact that Iran was one of the very first places that it spread like wildfire too was also intriguing.

I saw a video a couple weeks ago about religious practices in Iran that probably contributed to the explosive spread. The holy city of Qom is full of shines that people make pilgrimages from all over to visit, and the practice of worship at the shrines is to touch them, and some people even kiss and lick them. It would have only taken one infected person to infect those shrines, and the pilgrims who touched and kissed those shrines would have then headed back to their homes not only all over Iran, but also all over the middle east.

While this all starting from a Chinese person eating something stupid is completely believable, I’ve also thought that China’s largest virology lab being located in Wuhan seemed like too much of a coincidence.

How possible is it to engineer a virus? It could happen accidently if you create enough chances. What about controlling the outcome?

“This is to advise that I am exercising my power as president to remove from office the inspector general of the intelligence community, effective 30 days from today,” the president wrote.

Trump said in the letter that he “no longer” has the fullest confidence in Atkinson. “As is the case with regard to other positions where I, as president, have the power of appointment, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, it is vital that I have the fullest confidence in the appointees serving as inspectors general,” he wrote. “That is no longer the case with regard to this inspector general.”

Yet you guys want this man to take control of all the states quarantines by issuing a federal mandated quarantine. You want this man in charge of your states policies.

I think most people on here want him to be a competent leader in this situation. He hasn’t been.
