I understand the concern about this being a precedent-setter of having parents being criminally responsible for acts of their children but the parents in this case acted so abhorrently that I applaud that they were found guilty. They might not have pulled the trigger but their actions directly lead to the kid committing mass murder

I’d argue that they showed more inhumanity than the kid who clearly has significant mental health issues and was given absolutely no chance to recover from them
