That's good. I'd hate to introduce any additional options or viewpoints into our excellent, current situation...

Ideally we consolidate everything to far left liberals and far right conservatives with nothing in between, above or below them. The push in that direction we're experiencing now seems to be working out great so I'm hoping we double or triple down.

I guess I dont get the complaints about the Libertarians removing themselves from the conversation, considering the tweet and article both specify that the party was infiltrated by extremists. It's basically QOP Jr. That's not really a "differing" viewpoint from what we're getting from the current R party...

But the viewpoint you're talking about is no longer indistinguishable from the GOP, due to the right wingers taking over the party. The Libertarian party has effectively become redundant.

For those who didn't read the article, here's what someone from the Virginia Libertarian said after they disbanded the party in VA:
“Statements from the national party, including those endorsing thinly-veiled antisemitism, explicitly welcoming bigotry into the party, reversing the LP’s 50-year legacy of support for LGBTQ+ rights, and openly denouncing women’s suffrage, the civil rights act, and democracy itself, has rendered the national image of the party functionally indistinct from other alt-right parties and movements,” the former party’s parting resolution reads.

Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, South Carolina and Nebraska sue Biden to block student loan forgiveness:
“President Biden’s unlawful political play puts the self-wrought college-loan debt on the backs of millions of hardworking Americans who are struggling to pay their utility bills and home loans in the midst of Biden’s inflation,” Ms. Rutledge said in a statement on Thursday. “President Biden does not have the power to arbitrarily erase the college debt of adults who chose to take out those loans.”

Good. Every red state should. And make sure you do it before the midterms.

The viewpoint is not indistinguishable. It's the most distinguishable. Folks infiltrating the political party, I can't speak to that...but I certainly wouldn't support it, as I don't support GQP talking points...if that's the way that it's going, that's obviously unfortunate.

But in NY (another place designed to stifle independent thought), Larry Sharpe was to run on the Libertarian ticket - he got denied ballot access for whatever nonsense reason...I guess not enough in the ol payola fund. But I mean, that's a legit guy, backed by Andrew Yang...and I mean, you can't even place a vote for him because your people made rules to keep them raking in all of our money and outputting almost nothing...sometimes a net negative.

"Your people" the hell are you talking about? You think this is another "teams" thing?

Honestly - did you read the article? It seems like you didn't, otherwise I feel like it would be easy to understand where Troy and VLB are coming from instead of attributing it to "grave dancing"

The only reason I ask is because what you think is being discussed WRT to the article, and what everyone else seems to be discussing, is 2 separate things.

But those comments aren't without context, is my point. Namely, the article that the comment was referring to.

The admin quietly pulled FFEL’s from the program, with a consolidation date of today rather than the end of October and there’s still no real guidance about how it’s supposed to work. There went our forgiveness.

Moral of the story, do whatever it takes to get every handout possible even when you don’t need it. If we’d have consolidated to get the COVID pause even though we didn’t need it we’d be getting it forgiven now.
