Part of me wonders how this Roy Moore thing would've shaken out if he had diddled 14 year old boys instead of a girl.

The GOP likes to pretend they care about this kind of thing, but they're pretty transparent here.

Do you honestly believe the Democrats care?

Their actions thus far lead me to believe they care more about it than the GOP by comparison.

Emphasis on "by comparison because I'm sure someone will try to twist this.

What does it even matter anyways? The comment was about Roy Moore and the GOP. It's just another comment deflecting from the actual point adding nothing to the original post. Classic nobody.

No. The GOP doesn’t even care. It’s the Dems that pretend to care.

A distinction you've deemed worthy....how?

Between the content of Franken's speech, and DWS on Andrea Mitchell's show a few minutes ago, I'm convinced AF's resignation is indeed part of an overarching Democratic strategy to pin-harassment-on-the-elephant heading into the mid-terms.

They can unpin it by expelling Moore if he wins.

Considering Moore has the full voiced support of the President (who is the leader of the party), what do you think are the odds of that happening?

As I said to Freddy last night, the notion that the GOP would even bring Moore to an expulsion vote, let alone that 21 GOP senators are going to vote with the Dems to get to the 2/3 needed to expel, is really something.

... Which is why I wondered if it would be different for the GOP if he had touched little boys instead.

Then he'd be gay, and terminated by his own constituency.

The House is having a hearing with someone from the FBI and it's all Clinton scandal questions from the GOP. They're still going on about that meeting on the tarmac.

That's probably the extremely sad truth.

Sarah Sanders just said she's unaware of any other foreign nations that plan on following the US in moving their Israeli embassies to Jerusalem.

So, by precedent, the GOP will deny the allegations and then expect the Democrat to resign.

Tim Murphy resigned a couple months ago, and there have been plenty of calls by GOP folks for Roy Moore to step aside.

And that's exactly why the RNC is funding Moore's election bid...

Not sure how the Tim Murphy situation fits in. I thought that had more to do with his brazen hypocrisy.

this is an extremely good faith argument, just like last night with citing to the coming ethics inquiry that is the first step toward expulsion that will totally happen

Wait.
Moore is getting the Trump treatment. When the story was headline news, there were calls to step aside, when the initial story died down, they moved to a let the voters decide viewpoint. Granted, there is some nuance in that the GOP members' stories occurred in midst of an election and not while serving. But that does not explain why Fahrentold's story has been ignored for the most part.
