This has always been the problem with Trump.
In a parallel universe where he isn't morally bankrupt and a despicable person, he is still a horrible choice for President because of all his business entanglements.

It also reflects the problem with the "outsider" candidate. The outsider just wants all the benefits that the insiders have, the problem of course being that, as an outsider, he has no clue how to operate as in insider without being overtly corrupt. So with Trump, you have:

- Pathological Liar
- Deliberately uninformed (the living embodiment of that Mac from Always Sunny pic)
- Obsessed with his rank on the Forbes list
- An overt willingness for transactional relationships with despots and criminals
- A flawed businessman that sells himself as the opposite

Guys stop making nobody defend trump!
I only defend him when facts are misrepresented. As I’ve stated before.

I'm trying to figure out how this is an appreciably different sentence with the name "Trump" replaced with "Clinton"...

It's really not, which is the only reason we have a President Trump.

There is only one, maybe two, people here who were so much as somewhat enthused at the idea of a President Clinton. She didn't exactly have a whole lot of support. The most charitable way you could describe her imo is 'the least bad of two awful choices'. But least bad is still bad.

It'd be lesser since there are only two options.

I'd argue Trump's real estate is a bigger, more entangled web than speaking fees for the Clinton Foundation...but as others have said it's not a particular pretty picture either.

Her’s would be more of the political entanglements she had.

Pres tells rally that he's to blame for the problem of illegal immigrants seeking entry to the US, because he created "an incredible economy" with "so many jobs," that everybody wants to enter the US.

The Twitter responses from the same people every time to Trump tweets fascinate me. So much astroturfing

This is @nikkihaley speaking at the Al Smith dinner tonight: "I get it. You wanted an Indian woman -- but Elizabeth Warren failed her DNA test."

"Actually, when the president found out I was Indian-American he asked me if I was the same tribe as Elizabeth Warren."

The Dem primary is going to be a mess. She can mull over it all she wants, and listen to her personal sycophants telling her it's a good idea. But I think she would just have to seen one poll to convince her it would be a disaster.

This. Maybe if the election had occurred last fall the idea wouldn't be devastating, but we're so far past the "But her emails" meme at this point.

What was there like 17 candidates in 2016 on the GOP side?

Who do we know are running?

Booker
Harris
Avenatti
Gilliland
Warren
Hickenlooper
Castro
Biden
O'Rourke?
Clinton?

Who else?

Here's what will inevitability happen. There will be 3 or so picks that lead the pack, the split will be about 40/30/30. Two will get pushed out unceremoniously, spurring their supporters to become upset. The eventual candidate will lose to Trump because of a lack of turnout from voters.

There is not an impossible chance the GOP gains 2 to 5 seats in the Senate and loses the House bigly.

Oh good, if the Rs gain seats in the Senate and lose majority in the House then the Ds will only want to change how the Senate works and not both.
