It's lose lose, because they shot it down over water. GOP would have blamed him if they shot it down over land citing the people it could have hurt.

Can't wait for a week from now when they blame Biden for pissing off China by shooting the balloon down.

(Yes I know the GOP doesn't like China, but they'd never pass up an opportunity to complain about him... it's like that button pressing meme)

That same woman was arrested for holding up a convenience store with a machete in 2016.

Well, I'm sure they'd defend him - but apparently he alluded to not even remembering that this happened during his tenure.

Well the reporting is that he never paid attention in national security meetings, so that tracks.
Meh...I don't really care much, but this one smells a bit fishy. According to a Biden admin statement, the previous balloons weren't discovered until after he left office? The way I see it, there are 3 possibilities with this story.
1) Trump, being handed a golden opportunity to dunk on China and flex his power, chose discretion as the better part of valor and ignored the balloons. Doubtful to damn near impossible
2) There were no balloons, but for every question of Biden there has to be a 'but Trump' response...so you just make up a story about this happening under his watch as well. Also Doubtful, but not impossible.
3) There were balloons, and they were known about at the time, but that information wasn't presented to Trump or his advisors for fear that Trump would not choose discretion as the better part of valor and instead create an internation incident. Not impossible...maybe even prudent.

I believe any attempt to make China a partisan issue is dumb.

Not sure "who started it here", but it's not hard to just not engage with the "discourse"

From what I've read the Chinese spy balloon program (which is just a fabulous sentence) dates to a research study published sometime prior to 2020, and there have now been five known overflights of the continental US since then (three pre-20, two since).

I have also just only today learned that apparently there is around $30 million in the FY23 US Defense budget appropriated for, and I quote, "high-altitude inflatables".

Emerald Robinson was a newsmax or OAN anchor who was fired over her reporting after Trump's election loss.

Just read this. I'm more intrigued with the 2021 break in and the only reason the guy got caught was that he was wearing mouse ears to board a government flight.

Andrews hosts an annual open house (used to be Armed Forces Day weekend) that I attended on a bus trip organized by a bunch of local (local PD, staties, etc). One year our driver got frustrated with traffic as we were exiting, and he decided he was gonna freelance our asses off the base. We ended up at the south end of the field in the VC-25 hangar area, and we were................... let's call it 'stopped' by the (rather surprised) guards.

No idea how real this is, but I had to read every single one of these in school. Happy to say, my kids are still doing the same thing
