TIL after reading the article that Josh Hawley was 15 years old at the time. Also, there's no link to the full column, so other than a few quotes, it's impossible to determine what exactly Hawley said.
I'm sure if there was an article, archives would have it. Media could have done their job and got it.

As detestable as Hawley is, I am the sort of person who wouldn’t want to hang someone for something they said when they were <18

Also, it was the Kansas City Star that originally reported the news, so it wasn't like it was big media to take him down.

Had he presented no other behavior post-that, it would fall under your guidelines for me. This dude was part of the insurrection though and has been continuing to display these trends.

As an aside, this is a massive pet peeve of mine. A news article will, say, refer to a bill before Congress, or a judicial opinion, or a complaint that someone filed, but it doesn't link to the actual document in question. No, reporter, I'm not going to take your word for it.

TIL that Josh Hawley wrote a report defending militia members after the OKC Bombing. Guess he's always been an extremist.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/worl ... 92509.html
"Many of the people populating these movements are not radical, right-wing, pro-assault weapons freaks as they were originally stereotyped," Mr Hawley wrote about militias in the column, The Kansas City Star reported.

"Dismissed by the media and treated with disdain by their elected leaders, these citizens come together and form groups that often draw more media fire as anti-government hate gatherings," mr Hawley wrote.

"Feeling alienated from their government and the rest of society, they often become disenchanted and slip into talks of 'conspiracy theories' about how the federal government is out to get them," he added.
I bet he's gone from 6 to midnight knowing he's now a part of this.
Missouri Senator Josh Hawley wrote a column at the age of 15...
...the column published in his hometown paper The Lexington News.
Lexington is a city in Lafayette County, Missouri. The population was 4,726 at the 2010 census.
Sounds like him being a real ****** bag goes back to at least the age of 15.

The entire "news" piece was just an independent try at presenting character evidence...?

I clearly recall writing one in AP government trashing affirmative action or something similar and my teacher calling it juvenile. So at least one

I'd also like to add in that class that we had a mock congress thing and us Republicans got the majority and adopted English as the official language of the USA and then renamed English to American. My teacher might have been onto something

IIRC there was a report today that one of the people were going to work for the trump foundation because they couldn’t find a job. I want to say it was Meadows.

Hawley is plenty enough a human cesspool from the last 3 months to justify a firing squad.

There are worse ways to carry that mindset, believe me.
