Yeah, it' totally wrong that people have a choice over what to do with their own bodies and how, when, and where they choose to expend their own personal skills and labor.

Would you be okay with businesses refusing people based on race?

Rand Paul is on the record with being OK with that, the idea being that any business who does so will face a backlash. That may work in most places but not in bf Mississippi, etc.

We are already seeing the backlash for this law, in terms of money coming into the state. I hope that continues.

Gov Pence has probably racked up close to $5 billion in negative economic impact to Indiana based on the businesses, large and small, that are likely to bail on the state. GenCon, NCAA, SalesForce.com......

I know Hollywood has done a great job of prejudicing folks against the fair state of my current residence, but I have noticed a far more "tolerant" interaction between the races in bfe Mississippi than I did working in a warehouse in Pittsburgh.

Part of that might be reduced opportunity for interaction. Only about 1/4 of Pittsburgh's population is African American, but they make up nearly 40% of Mississippi's population. In Hollidaysburg/Altoona, I did not share a classroom with an African American student until my junior year of high school.

Yup. The racist frat bro at Oklahoma is a perfect example. There is a ton of racism in the middle and upper classes in the more affluent parts of the country, especially among the age group that is supposed to be the most tolerant.

Growing up in Altoona I lived just off the blackest street in the entire city. There was a basketball court that was shared by all, and that probably did more for local race relations than anything else.

I haven't watched a single episode of VICE, and I feel like I'm worse off for it. I just recorded the recent episode that talks about long line fishing, but it's just sitting on the DVR, staring at me accusingly.

Would we be better off if a poor (and most likely uneducated because of that economic status) black man/woman was leading the government? Maybe, but probably not. That's why I don't get the whole "RICH WHITE MEN RULE THE WORLD! TIME FOR A CHANGE!" Okay...Rich black man, check. Nope...that isn't working. I guess a rich latino woman is next. Maybe if she's a lesbian that would do the trick...
