Alec Baldwin's assertion that he didn't pull the trigger is almost certainly bullcrap:

Colt SAAs admittedly don't have transfer-bar or hammer-block safeties. But they do have multiple half-**** notches that are designed to catch a falling hammer if one's thumb slips during cocking. While it is theoretically possible that the gun in question was broken somehow, the SAA is a simple and robust design, and a broken gun is unlikely. As Mr. Wolf in the above video explains, Baldwin either pulled the trigger and didn't realize it, or he already had the trigger depressed when he was pulling the hammer back.

the gun firing on its own is more incriminating to Baldwin. It shows not only negligence by the armorer but also that the set was itself unsafe which was the responsibility of his production company.

More about the Michigan shooters' parents and parenting today.

A student at my wife's elementary school pulled the fire alarm. The kid is special needs, and may not have known what she was doing.

So the principal calls the parents, expecting an apology of some sort at the very least.

Instead the principal gets chewed out and the parents want to see video and might call an attorney if the student is punished. Of course, the video clearly shows the kid pulling the alarm, but the district has to protect the identities of any other kids in the video before it can be released to the parents.

That's pretty indicative of a lot of the interactions between school administration and parents these days.

Parents want to be friends and not actually parents, and that's an issue. See my rants elsewhere about college students having parents set course schedules, complaining about grades, etc

I also wonder if the reason they (the school) didn't check his backpack is because they weren't allowed to? It's not school property, like a locker.

I give two shits about the Cuomo’s but this is the difference between the left and the right. Fox News openly worked with Trump, essentially announcing it to everyone. And they don’t give a flying f. CNN acting like Chris Cuomo wouldn’t try to help his brother is laughable. It’s not like he’s a real journalist or anything.

Matthews has never publicly discussed the chaos of the Capitol siege.

Gen. Charles Flynn, Mike Flynn's brother, didn't want to send in the DC National Guard? This is going to be good when they get to the bottom of this.
