The PA Lt. Gov was recently in town recently to get the community's feedback on marijuana legalization. More were against than for and one of the anti-legalization folks said there were studies that linked marijuana use to cannibalism.

I have a feeling that the media's slurping of Beto is going to make the Obama craze in 2007-08 look tame by comparison.
I'm sorry, I don't care how wholesome or inspiring he is, six years as Rep without much to show for it is not what I'm after. Obama was very much a cult of personality in 2008, and we've followed that up with the same cultish behavior electing Trump. I'd like to get back to electing people based more on substance and experience.

I'm curious, shad... now that we're 2+ years removed from the Obama presidency, how do you feel about his time in office?
Fairly unremarkable. I think he made a lot of lofty promises that he never had a prayer of delivering on. I do think it accelerated the polarization of America, and exacerbated race relations (by bringing out the absolute worst on both sides). While I'm not blaming him personally for that, I don't think he or his associates really helped matters. From a sheer policy perspective, it wasn't anything noteworthy. His human rights/government overreach record was disappointing.

Aside from being the first black president, I just don't think his presidency is going to be remembered as impactful. He will probably end up somewhere in the middle third of presidents in those historical rankings.

I am traveling to Alabama this weekend. A state where being caught with marijuana is a Class C felony that mandates a minimum of one year behind bars.

I really wish the Libertarian Party was more powerful/influential, because America desperately needs more representation for that silent majority of the country.

The problem with substance and experience is that your opponents can develop campaign strategies to nullify accomplishments and amplify failures, or even create mistruths that the public can't (or won't) unravel. It's a conundrum, and it's why it's tough for Senators and House reps to win the presidency. Obama was the first since Kennedy.

Hannity: "Just for the record, we don't know if AOC ever smoked weed although a lot of liberals now who care about late-term abortion, during birth abortion, even after birth abortion and yes they want to legalize weed" https://t.co/Wp8o48PP9O

Good thing a **** moron like this doesn't have any pull with the president of the United States.
During birth abortion.
:face:
How does this work? Do they use a guillotine on the head when it pops out...or...?
Partial birth abortion involves sticking a sharp instrument into the back of the babies skull, so basically.

I'm kind of intrigued for 2020, Beto said legalizing it can help with the opioid crisis. I hope in my lifetime, marijuana is made a recreational drug, but it's interesting to see it could be a campaign talking point now.

Trump to Breitbart on how the left plays tough: "I have the support of the police, the support of the military, the support of the Bikers for Trump — I have the tough people, but they don’t play it tough — until they go to a certain point and then it would be very bad, very bad."

It will be out of federal hands. And will be up to the states at that point.which is effectively already the case. Several states will not be on board with your estimate. Not unless the Fed’s start withholding resources for bad actors.

Those town halls don’t do anything. Polls are what drives this. The town halls are just to make sure the losing side feels like they had a chance.

“New York City: There are only FOUR things that should go in your toilet,” the NYC Mayor’s Office posted to Twitter, along with a series of emojis to illustrate the message. “poop, pee, puke, toilet paper

“Everything else causes FATBERGS! What are fatbergs? Well, you gotta click on FatbergFree.nyc.”
That fatberg measured more than 800 feet long and weighed in at an estimated 130 tons, or about the same as 11 double-decker buses, according to The Guardian.

Shoebox size pieces of the London fatberg are now at the Museum of London, which began a livestream of the calcified mass of feces, fat, oil, wet wipes and other items in September after a temporary display enthralled visitors.

“Curators said the fatberg had hatched flies, sweated and changed color while on display,” the Guardian reports. “Since being removed on 1 July, the fatberg has grown an unusual toxic mold in the form of visible yellow pustules.”
It amazes me how many dumb people think you can just flush whatever you want without consequence. For the love of God, NEVER flush "flushable" wipes.
