AMI (e.g. National Enquirer) has entered into a non-prosecution agreement with the SDNY to stipulate they performed a 'catch-and-kill' service in concert with Trump to influence the election. (This is essentially the same as a cooperation agreement, but without the requirement to plead guilty to any criminal conduct.) Right now, this is limited to the Karen McDougal payment, but it all but eliminates the Edwards defense against campaign finance tomfoolery that the payment constituted a civil agreement for the purpose of maintaining familial confidentiality. (Which is something Rudy G might want want to revisit before his next TV appearance)
Also of note: Do not forget that Trump and Cohen were considering the viability to buying out David Pecker of his ownership of all the other stories AMI caught-and-killed over the years, as it makes for quite the large pile of blackmail fodder in the hands of a third party. (Remember the safe with all the goodies at AMI's offices?)

These all made me chuckle. Gang members, in a rap video? Why I never! The visual features footage of several men brandishing firearms, and begins with footage of officers searching multiple men. As KRPC reports, police say that many of the men were gang members, and some of the guns were stolen. Pitchfork has confirmed charges against 19 of the reported 20 men. NFL Cartel Bo (born: Warren Tramelle Brown II) and 11 other men were charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm. Seven were charged with misdemeanor unlawful carrying of a weapon. One of the men, Laderious Raymon Bates, took a plea deal on his misdemeanor charge and was sentenced to 60 days in county jail. Maxo Kream was not arrested.
KRPC reports that, after his arrest, NFL Cartel Bo “was released on bond and was ordered to wear an ankle monitor, but police said he cut it off and has not been seen or heard from since.”
When police officers arrived at the video shoot, which took place in March, many people ran to escape arrest. Law enforcement officials used the video, which was uploaded to WorldstarHipHop’s YouTube page on May 20, 2018, to find the people who had escaped.

I just watched the video...that's like taking virtually every stereotype and rolling it up into one video.
I guess that's also what they refer to when they describe "mumble rap". Sigh...I miss the 90s

First came President Hussein. Then President Castro? What is the world coming to?

So are we at the "I did it, but it wasn't a big deal" phase?President Donald Trump tried to brush off a question in a recent interview about his associates' interactions with Russians ahead of and during his presidential campaign by saying it was just "peanut stuff," despite his earlier blanket denials of any such interactions.

Pretty sure the courts just said it was a crime lol.“So now the Dems go to a simple private transaction, wrongly call it a campaign contribution, which it was not,” Trump wrote.
He further asserted that even if the payments could be considered campaign contributions, he should be facing a civil case rather than a criminal case. And he said, Cohen should be held responsible, not him.
“Lawyer’s liability if he made a mistake, not me,” Trump wrote. “Cohen just trying to get his sentence reduced. WITCH HUNT!”

https://bigleaguepolitics.com/google-ap ... blasphemy/
A new Android app has launched with the focus of allowing Muslims to report individuals who commit blasphemy, or insult Islam.
No, this is not a joke. The app, “Smart Pakem”, which launched in Indonesia last month at the request of the Indonesian government, will allow users and government officials to uphold Sharia law and target and report people who hold “misguided” beliefs in violation of Islamic law, which forbids insults of Islam, insults against the Prophet Mohammed, or the recognition of any other religion besides Islam.
Indonesia’s criminal code prohibits blasphemy, which is defined as “the act or offense of speaking sacrilegiously about God or sacred things”.
The Code’s Article 156(a) targets those who deliberately, in public, “express feelings of hostility, hatred, or contempt against religion”. The penalty for violating Article 156(a) of Indonesia’s criminal code is a maximum of five years imprisonment.
Rajan Anandan, who serves as the VP of Google in south-east Asia, has not shown any resistance to the app, which is available in the Google app store.

And, apparently, he'd be OK with that...“It’s hard to impeach somebody who hasn’t done anything wrong and who’s created the greatest economy in the history of our country,” Trump told Reuters in an Oval Office interview.
“I’m not concerned, no. I think that the people would revolt if that happened,” he said.
Politics And Current Events
- Cohen admits in plea he knew he was breaking campaign finance law by making Stormy and McDougal payments, per Trump's instruction
- Career prosecutors in SDNY (an office run by a Trump appointee) turn "Individual-1" into a meme
- SDNY judge accepts prosecution filing characterizing payments as campaign finance violation
- AMI stipulates they cooperated in catch-and-kill practices specifically to influence the election
That's four separate lines of stipulation to felonies committed directed and/or abetted by Trump.
The judge that sentenced Cohen was a Clinton appointee, so that will probably get fun before too long.

But I think if there is truly a case for impeachment (collusion as part of a conspiracy) the majority of the American public will support it. If they go after him for these payoffs or other minor financial crimes they won't support it.
