What’s the point of having security or police officers if nobody is willing to stop them? That’s on them as much as it is these NTP66s, IMO.

I've seen a couple people say that they legally aren't allowed to stop Members of Congress due to how the Constituition allows them to assemble. One of them just needs to claim they're being held from doing their constitutional duty and that cop likely gets fired.
Lol, that’s absurd. But whatever, I guess my expectations, low as they may be, are still too high.

Boy. Pelosi hates Trump. Like straight up hates him with her whole heart. I hope I don't ever hate anyone half as much as that.

How **** up is it that republicans are basically saying they won't vote for impeachment because they are worried their supporters will kill them?
To me it's akin to when people like Graham say things like, "If we let more and more people vote who are able to vote, you'll never see a Republican elected again", or whatever the exact quote is.

Think that through, boss man, and realize what you're really saying, what you're recognizing.

Decided to look up Gym’s district because it amazes me that people manage to vote for him. Look at this gerrymandered shitshow:

Guess they needed as much land as possible to outweigh all the liberals in Oberlin.
He was reelected this past cycle by a 2:1 margin.

How much of a tool do you have to be to wear a mask that says "this mask is as useless as our governor" on the floor of the capitol?

Yeah, the panic button stuff and representative-led 'recon tours' are getting a little suspect to me. Come with proof or you're going to lose me.
Right. And that makes sense. I guess the question is, were these 'guided tours' just regular tourist stuff? I mean, that's how terrorists gain intel. Or were these ad-hoc tours coordinated with the blessing of the representative to further the terroristic objective?

I'm not taking a stance either way. Just that I'm not willing to take that extra step that the inference would imply, yet. Nor am I absolving anyone of anything.

Trying to strike a balance between every attention seeking rep v. substantiated facts.
Regular tourist tours of the Capitol have been canceled because of the pandemic.

"I was told that the White House is continuing to pressure these members, that Trump has not stopped and that members, quote, 'fear for their lives and for their families' lives,'" she continued. "After what we saw on January 6th, a week later, that says a lot that the White House is still pressuring people."
Cool, impeach him again.

Becoming clear why McConnell is ready to throw Trump under the bus
Maybe a dumb question, but why wouldn't you want the President to be the best possible? Is this guy really getting accolades for saying that?

I hope not. The Home Depot guy was a major trump zealot and gop donor. that he would condemn Trump so strongly is newsworthy.

Just saw Tim Scott is against impeachment. With that, the senate over under has to 5.5. The majority is just waiting for the news cycle to turn over. You have the ball suckers like Jordan and Gaetz running interference. But most of them are just trying to lay low

What happens if all the Republicans just vote present?

I kinda buy the fear for their families thing. I mean I get most of you guys probably think its a "plant/grow" thing or whatever the cool people say, but I doubt you actually want their spouses and children to have to live in fear, regardless of their perceived role in causing it.

This tweet is from July but still manages to hit the nail on the head when it comes to Jordan, Gaetz, Graham, et al (2nd tweet, won't let me decouple it):

I have no doubt that they fear for their lives and the lives of their families. Imagine how the dems feel. Not voting on something that you know is right out of fear of terrorists. That's where we're at in our country and it's incredibly depressing.
