Lots of tall people here. I'm 6'1" and notice anyone taller than me more so than someone shorter than me. My ex was 5'2" and my son is 5'7", daughter A is 5'3" and daughter B is, I think, 6'0" (I'm afraid to ask anymore as she doesn't like being tall).

If it makes you feel better MIMH, I used to get **** for being skinny. I was 6'1", 150 at 18 and heard it all the time. It was annoying.

I get made fun of for having a big nose. When I was in high school it upset me. Then I realized it's not something I have control over and started joining in on the jokes. I'm 36 now and getting pretty good at it

The democratic presidential candidate won Washington County, PA in like 18 out of 19 elections from the depression through 2004. Unions are dead and gone in the Mon valley and in the coal fields of Washington PA. What is the modern day Democratic Party offering to that marginal white guy living in Charleroi?

I would suggest starting by not calling them "marginal." Or calling them and their lifestyles "toxic," or saying that they have "privilege," all of which has been mentioned in the last few pages.

If a bunch of conservatives were having a discussion about why more of those "soyboy cucks" in the Democratic party aren't crossing over and voting conservative, and any of you on here heard that conversation, would it make you more or less likely to switch parties?

If the Dems want to appeal to more men, and especially the rural / blue collar men that were once a mainstay of the party, then they should start by not denigrating them.

I’m 5’6-3/4”. I was almost 5’8” and when I fell and fractured a vertebrae 5 years ago, I shrank by an inch.

My height is weird. I know my senior year of high school, I was listed as 6'0" by the trainers during physicals for football. Although I think that was some shenanigans to scare opponents or something (My weight at that time was 305 )

I remember doctors listing me as 5'10" during my 20s, but when I went to get life insurance in my early 30s, the nurse for the insurance company measured me at 5'9.75", which with my weight at the time (~200 or so), put me in the higher premium tier. I was, and remain, very pissed off about that.

A couple of weeks ago, I was measured for a personal training program I'm in (volunteering as guinea pigs for future personal trainers) and I was a solid 5'9"

I know shrinking is real, I just assumed it would happen in my 60s and 70s. Both parents shrunk quite a bit those last few years.

Oddly, I've been around 6'1.5"/6'2" since maybe junior or senior year of high school, but my most recent PCP visit had me at 6'3". I'm going to chalk it up to my appointment being within an hour of waking up, but I was surprised that they gave me credit for the extra inch.

The nurse was also maybe 5'1" and was having trouble reaching the slider thing so that may also have been a factor.

I'm 5'9, which is okay. The problem for me was being 130 lbs soaking wet on thanksgiving night, but there are advantages to everything. Once you figure them out, you may not see height as a problem. I'm pretty much the same build I've always been, and I wouldn't change it at all.

6’4” here. I never think about short people and I only ever think about people taller than me because there’s **** I hate being tall for and they have to REALLY hate those things plus more.

I have a great friend who’s like 5’6” or 7. Never think about height once. He’s a good dude.
