There isn’t a similarity between this story and Jewel’s, at least in regard to what I posted.

There are all kinds of examples of stories the media got wrong before the internet that came out piecemeal like this which led to people jumping to conclusions.

If anything the internet allows us to get a clear story faster.

Uh, yeah, that was my point. We get immediate news, and the story evolves quickly, and we see the evolution almost in real time. People react to every change. The specific story that was being discussed wouldn’t have been a story at all 20 years ago, or it would’ve been on A20.

My point wasn’t that the media used to always get it right.

Sounds like the process worked.
Also less than shocking that two government agencies didn't communicate.
To be specific to this “news,” it wouldn’t have even made the morning edition.

President Donald Trump retains overwhelming support from Republican voters in the final days of his term, an NBC News poll conducted after a mob of his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol shows.

Nearly nine in 10 Republicans approve of Trump’s job performance, according to the survey, a figure virtually unchanged from just ahead of the November contest. Eighty-nine percent of Republicans said they approved of Trump before the election, compared to 87% in the most recent poll.
How?

This is a very long read but is pretty educational for people like me who don't really pay attention to all of the noise that's out there on the fringe that has begun to push more into the mainstream. It's astonishing that there are people like this Fuentes character who rails against the very document that allows him to spew what he's been spewing.

Pipelines are by far the safest way to transmit oil and gas front point a to point b.

The anti-science, and anti-reason environmental lobby who are pushing this, and have been for decades, don't comprehend this.

It's also something Canada does not want to do...you know since we are worried about re-establishing our place in the world.

Am I the only one upset Pennsylvania isn’t anywhere close to the keystone pipeline. They need a better PR person for that thing.

O'Biden canceled this year ago. You shouldn't be surprised that they are doing it again.

At the "Stop the Steal" rally in Baton Rouge this was the turnout.
In Baton Rouge, three men in camouflage and carrying weapons attracted the attention of police. They weren’t pro-Trump but were there, they said, to engage in dialogue.

Few were around with whom to hold conversation.

One man held a sign supporting the Black Lives Matter movement. A woman held a sign that questioned the validity of the presidential election results.

The only Trump supporter was Austin, of Port Allen, who wouldn’t give his last name. Dressed in a blue blazer and a red Make America Great Again, MAGA cap. Austin said he feared that dressing in camouflage would provoke the media to tarnish Trump supporters. He had heard of rally, came to show his support and was disappointed so few came.

The Advocate is the name of the Baton Rouge paper.
