RINO's are weird. I listen to a lot of content from Bulwark.com, and all the Hacks on Tap podcasts (which are usually pretty great).

But you have all these people who plainly acknowledge the GOP as broken, corrupt, un-democratic, etc. And you also have the voting data over the last couple months that show Republicans aren't interested in supporting bills that even have popular support among their voters. We all understand they're professional obstructionists who A) want to make Biden fail and B) restrict the number of people who vote - particularly minorities.

So...why then are RINO pundits experiencing brain damage about the state of things. Lots of "HR 1 is too big!". "Pass these things a different way!". "You need to at least try to work with Republicans!"

Uh huh.

The name of the game is to try to prevent the GOP from having any power in this country whatsoever. That's it. That's step 1 of everything. Because if they win the house back, we're F'd. If they continue to hijack state houses like in PA, we're F'd. If they get the Senate back, double F'd and if it's the presidency, quadruple.

I guess it's just desperation to make Conservatism a thing, as it's experiencing its death rattle (and was never actually a thing to begin with). They're clinging onto platitudes that only exist in the DC zip code, forgetting what's actually on the line.

Sort of a depressing thing how everyone falls back into old habits when things get boring in the white house.

Fact check me, but I believe it is North Carolina where Democrats received clear majorities of total votes for both houses of the General Assembly, but Republicans have more seats. 'Tyranny of the majority' and such.

I just want to say that I'm all in favor of having an Ewok as head of state. They are loyal and resourceful.

They were also preparing to cook and eat Luke, Han, and Chewie. So.... maybe factor that in as well.

This has been U.S. policy for a decade, but only became a problem in 2017, and now is no longer an issue, again.

These facilities are nice all things considered and isn't an actual big deal when you have surges at the border like we are experiencing now.
