Also, I don't know the exact exchange rate, but given Bernie's policy stake I'm guessing $19 AUD converts to around $15 USD?

I’m not sure Bernie should be touting anything about Australia’s economy considering how much of it depends on digging various things out of the ground and sending it to China to use in a less then eco-friendly manner.

my Houston cousin went off on this too. she says the minimum wage should be equivalent to the price of a movie ticket which she thinks is around $11. I asked, "where are you getting $11???"
"well, I looked around at the local theaters to see how much a movie is."
you can't go by current prices since most theaters have slashed ticket prices to get butts in the seats. pre-COVID an evening movie ticket in ATL was $15 at LEAST.
that said, there's a mechanic job at my office that's been open for TWO YEARS because it only pays $27k per year which is only $14 per hour.

100%. The fact that he is followed by Three Year Letterman and Dr. Congresswoman-Elect Karin Baker-Thompkins is a dead giveaway.I think Ned is just a good old fashioned troll account. Also, I don't know the exact exchange rate, but given Bernie's policy stake I'm guessing $19 AUD converts to around $15 USD?

Sinema is getting canceled for *checks notes* not supporting the end of the filibuster, which evidently is a big issue in the non-binary movement.

I don’t care about what race/gender/sex someone is. If they don’t support removing the filibuster, I hate them

If you're a democrat and "against" the filibuster, you should be "cancelled" or just criticized for exercising poor judgement. The filibuster is idiotic.

I don't have strong feelings about it, other than that you should have to actually do the work...you should have to talk for X consecutive hours...do it right, or pay the price...

The filibuster is not idiotic and y'all are just against it because you heard on Twitter/the Daily Show that Republicans like it.
Just admit you have no idea why it exists in parliamentary proceedings and Roberts Rules.
The only thing that needs to change is a switch back to actually talking. The "silent" filibuster does need to go.

Let's see some legit reasoning as to why it needs to go other than it's dumb I don't like it.
