I think he was pointing out how absurd it is that a major newspaper (the Atlanta Journal Constitution) is encouraging people to wear pearls for Kamala and send in their photos.

It's absurd, but major news outlets do that stuff all the time to encourage social media engagements. It's more or less a brand grasp to get people interested in your website, etc.

IMO, the eyeroll part is the media thinking that women have pearls to wear. Damn near 1/4 of people 25-34 live with their parents. They really think these women have pearls? Get bent.

Well, unfortunately these fake narratives take root, and then months down the line people will develop completely false understanding of the historical event. Sort of like how people talk about the Steele dossier now, we will hear the capitol riot as a both sides thing
