To add to this, as it was mentioned yesterday, my FB feed from my friends on the right were silent throughout most of the day, and then at night I saw a few posts dodinting about the media being to blame.

It's just easier at this point. I have plenty of friends who don't have the same political view points as me that aren't certifiably insane and believing all the conspiracy crap. Those people are fine.

On the other hand I had people actually telling me the stuff that happened yesterday was ok and just. So at that point it's better to just cut ties completely.

We're on the same page. I have plenty of friends who have differing political views, and 99% of the time we simply don't talk about politics. They also aren't crazy. It's the others who I'm more willing to part ways with, because I can't get behind supporting stuff like this.

I hope people are angry today. My fear is that the senators gave their little speeches last night condemning this in their own way and that will be enough. That's basically how things worked recently. That can't be allowed to happen again.

Yeah I was snoozing anyone that was pontificating on events yesterday. That said, the extent of my engagement is responding with laugh reactions, because it's just never worth actually engaging.
