There is really no hope for the US to course correct. The democrats will always run right.
What is funny about stuff like this is the heart palpitations the Left is experiencing over the possibility of a Roman Catholic woman with a lot of kids going on the court.

I mean we just went through a time with people crying and holding a vigil for a judge playing their secular hymn of lamentation.

Is there no self-awareness?

I don't think anyone cares about what religion she is.

From the circuit court approvals, the only thing I saw barring her religion was that she could be clouded by it on decisions. Roe Vs. Wade being the likely candidate.

I honestly don't know what to believe, when it comes to SCOTUS picks. The only time I'm really concerned about it is when Trumps legal issues go all the way up there, and I tend to skew that it's in the bag because favors owed, essentially.

You should probably pay attention to what your co-belligerants are saying.

And Dianne Feinstein made a huge deal of her faith when she went through the Appeals appointment.

The Democrats/left wing are going to put whichever nominee gets selected through utter hell. Honestly, I preemptively feel awful for her family because the dirt-digging and nasty tricks are going to make the Kavanaugh ridiculousness seem tame by comparison. That said, I don't think those kind of personal attacks on a woman are going to play well.

If this is a reference to the Trump stuff, that's old news and TBH, not really relevant at this point.

Nominating another woman puts Senate Democrats in a precarious position is all I'm saying. Especially a mother of that many children who has also adopted Haitian refugees.

I don't think it's going to be filled with attacks. They tried and failed with Kavanaugh. Ultimately, they really have no play here, this close to election, outside of impeachment of Trump/Barr - or threaten to stacking the courts which is a bad idea, imo.

I love that the Kavanaugh circus was the democrats fault, and not that Kavanaugh was an objectively partisan judge, lied about his record in the W. administration and had quite a raucous adolescent phase.

Dude...honest question, why the need for the constant smarminess and sarcasm? I try and go out of my way to never target individual posters in here. Even if I think their posts are batsht crazy, I always try and avoid turning it into a personal attack. I think I've always afforded you the same respect.

I know this might shock you, but you can have empathy for refugees while at the same time believing that a country cannot accept unlimited refugees indefinitely. You can have empathy for refugees while also being concerned about the long-term cultural ramifications of importing hundreds of thousands of refugees from a culture that is completely antithetical to Western values. It doesn't mean I hate refugees as you imply above.

But going back to my original point, we are talking about a potential Barrett confirmation hearing, and twice you turn it into a personal attack against me. I might not agree with you politically, but I always try to avoid going low and we've had some nice banter in other threads. Thanks.

Another example of celebrity making the Covid go away. Still can't have a real funeral if you are a schlub.

I actually agree with you that the Administration could have picked a much better candidate that didn't have the potential skeletons that Kavanaugh brought to the table.

Fine, I apologize, it isn't meant to be personal, if that makes any sense, as on a personal level I think we'd get along just fine. Your posting record in this very thread, however... ok, we can just agree to disagree, and while I can hardly disregard your posts, I can try to ignore them or shrug them off. They make me sad sometimes, tbh. Peace.

edit: sorry, should've quoted your post, @shafnutz05

You're dodinting about an outdoor funeral for an 87 year old Supreme Court Justice who did more for women's rights in this country than perhaps anybody else in history. And then when you're called out on spilling bs info, you turn it around and play the victim.

Funeral outdoors and in the gigantic Supreme Court is equivalent to having one at Elachko funeral home on Dawson street

Man I'd really prefer public servants that don't care about building the kingdom of god.
