Michael M. Karmo, 40, and Cody E. Smith, 33, were arrested at a hotel near Kenosha on Tuesday and charged with illegal possession of firearms, the Department of Justice announced Thursday. According to the criminal complaint against them, they were found with a major cache of firearms and weapons in their vehicle and hotel room that included an AR-15, a shotgun, handguns, a dagger, a saw and magazines.

According to the complaint, the Kenosha Police Department advised the FBI on Tuesday that a law enforcement agency in Iowa had received a tip that Karmo and an unidentified man were traveling with firearms from Missouri to Kenosha. Karmo allegedly told the tipster on Aug. 31 that "he was going to Kenosha with the intention of possibly using the firearms on people," the complaint stated.

Both men also had prior convictions that prohibited them from owning firearms.

Do people still not believe this story? Trump is an dadhole, well documented, but his inability to relate to servicemembers is not the heresy it's being made out to be. I imagine we'll eventually get to that stage of the apology tour, I guess I should have just accepted the knee-jerk denial was just the first phase of the cycle, and not been confounded that people were willing to go with that response.

Wow two whole networks, one made up almost entirely of people who admit they're not journalists. The other you'd probably have to ask 1000 people before you'd find 10 who know how to find it. I feel better now about 99% of of our media coordinating with zero sources to influence an election.

I can understand why they did not go on the record to source the story; look at what happened to Lt Col Vindman, a 20+ year military career was ended. But this is moving pretty quickly, and they need to publicly confirm the facts as they know them.

It's coming up on 5 pm on the East coast, maybe something further will develop today.

Kelly has been quoted saying bad things about trump in other stories. He also told Michael Schmidt that Trump offered him the fbi director job if he would pledge loyalty.
