That wouldn't surprise me, either, but NSA also lines up with his expertise as well.

Put Pete at HUD, then add maybe Evan McMullin as NSA.

But... why? If anything this move will turn off progressive defund the police folks. Her talking points are all about reforming and reimagining, not a total defunding.

Prediction markets may not the be most liquid, and may be influenced by people running after every twitter rumor (Harris unfollowed Biden!!), but at the end, they work. The massive shift toward Harris happened at least 20-25 minutes before the first announcements.

Kamala Harris was not great on the debate stage iirc.

She was the only one that ever really drew blood on Biden. She was actually the best performer of all of them imo.

Now, I think that actually harmed her chances to be the nominee, because that bussing comment was both her high point and the start of her decline. (I don't think voters were too keen on the circular firing squad this year.)

Local TV reporter I follow on social: "#BREAKING former VP Joe Biden chooses Senator Kamala Harris as his running mate. She is the first African American woman chosen for that position."

First comment: "She's not African American, she's Indian/Jamaican if you care to look into it."

Which I'm guessing would come as quite a shock to Senator Harris.
