Politics And Current Events

President Trump commuted the sentence of his longtime friend Roger J. Stone Jr. on seven felony crimes on Friday, using the power of his office to help a former campaign adviser days before Mr. Stone was to report to a federal prison to serve a 40-month term.

In a lengthy statement released late on a Friday evening, the White House denounced the prosecution against Mr. Stone on what it called “process based charges” stemming from “the Russia Hoax” investigation. “Roger Stone has already suffered greatly,” the statement said. “He was treated very unfairly, as were many others in this case. Roger Stone is now a free man!”
Literal trash.

https://www.dailynews.com/authorities-s ... -a-suicide

Despite what you can read below, Fuller's family (and the usual racist agitators) were desperate to have this viewed as a Jim Crow style lynching. His family should have known better given his obviously suicidal past, but after the canonization of Floyd I can only assume they hoped the same for him.

The initial reaction to this story is a great lesson in why you shouldn't believe anything you read in our present climate.

As a side note, the new journalism rule of capitalizing "black" is dumb. Unless you are also capitalizing "white", stop with your meaningless virtue signaling.
The death of a Black man found hanging from a tree in a Southern California city park last month was ruled a suicide Thursday following a police investigation prompted by outrage from the family who said authorities initially were too quick to rule out the possibility he was lynched.

The manner of 24-year-old Robert Fuller’s death on June 10 in Palmdale intensified the racial angst that already was at a boiling point following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Family members said they couldn’t imagine Fuller taking his own life and community activities noted the Antelope Valley area north of Los Angeles where the death occurred has a history of racist incidents.

Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva promised a thorough investigation and at a news conference to announce the findings it was revealed that Fuller had a history of mental illness and suicidal tendencies.
Sheriff’s Commander Chris Marks outlined three hospitalizations since 2017 where Fuller told doctors he was considering taking his life. The last was in November, when he was being treated for depression at a hospital in Nevada and “disclosed that he did have a plan to kill himself,” Marks said.

Marks also said the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department investigated an incident in February in which Fuller “allegedly tried to light himself on fire.”

What a leader. An educated person would be a worry to him.

I love how completely unprincipled he is. He’s such a corrupt maggot and his desperation is both amusing and terrifying

I, for one, am in complete shock that the people publicly writing racist things would say and write racist things in private.

Then you have Jenkins basically saying not to worry about Jewish issues and only focus on the black community.

https://www.foxnews.com/sports/charles- ... al-results

I'm with Sir Charles here. Again, I understand support, but it's getting to the point to see who can be the most "woke".

Last night I turned on a MLS game. I never watch MLS, but since it was actually sports, I wanted to watch. First, everyone had their BLM warm up shirts on (ok, fine, no issue). Then when they took them off, there was BLM stuff on the jerseys. Then they had to get into a unity circle for BLM. Then they went out onto the field and all knelt and raise their fists.

This all even before they even kicked a ball. It turned me off and I stopped watching. Like Sir Charles says, I agree with support, but I also want to watch sports to get away from reality for a few hours a day.

They just need to go back to not showing anything pregame and stop playing the anthem.

If they want to say its for raising awareness, I think everyone is already aware. I'd rather see those teams out in the community making a difference at this point.

I am looking forward to when we are through the "look how much we care" phase.

Or, people need to just grow up. I get not playing the anthem because it means different things to different people. But if players showing support for any movement affects you’re willingness to watch, that’s on you.

Or just don't play the anthem before sporting events unless it's the olympics. Why do we need to honor America before a **** soccer game between the Seattle Sounders and the San Jose Quakes?

Well, I can't argue that. Let's just play O Canada before every sporting event.
