if bars should be open, why would we keep movie theaters closed?
If they blocked off sections to properly social distance, I think they should open movie theaters.
I could be wrong but isn't that the current state of affairs in the green phase?

Who is saying the only acceptable outcome is zero cases?
My Twitter feed is full of blue checks in sports media saying that we can't have college football if kids are going to get sick

I believe "in large numbers" is probably assumed by most of them....

No one, I'm just asking. Because the original "endgame" if you will was accomplished. Just wondering outloud what the updated end game is.
Case growth has to get to a place where you can actually perform contact tracing. I'm not sure what the multiplier is, but when you're talking about a state finding thousands of cases per day, it's impossible to effectively do that. So as long as we have zero clue about the true prevalence of the virus around you, then you have to act like everyone you encounter has been exposed. If you have a handle on the spread (see other functioning nations), then you can get back to some semblance of normalcy.

Source of the post Because originally back in march, it was to not overwhelm the hospital system. I think that was accomplished.

I'd say yes and no.

We didn't overwhelm the system initially (Pittsburgh, specifically) because we were able to contain the spread.

However, as with the new numbers and it really starting to spike here, can it really be said that we accomplished that goal? If the cases continue to climb and the hospitalizations follow along with it, isn't more that we just delayed overwhelming the hospital system?

Oh... so you believe the blue checks are requiring zero cases for football to happen. Interesting.

You know what might help? If our president acted like wearing masks is okay
I heard on NPR this morning that he did recommend everyone follow the rules and wear masks, socially distance, get tested, wash your hands, etc...
He needs to be seen in a mask then. Lead by example.
he also claims that he doesn't need one because anyone that's allowed close to him has already been tested. I find it hard to believe that Herman Cain didn't get a moment with Trump in Tulsa....

Yes we can. +4 hospitalizations isn’t going to overwhelm the system. Even in Florida where numbers have gone crazy, their hospital system is keeping up.

This will be an interesting trend to follow.

a median one-bedroom price of $3,280
When we moved their, our 1-bedroom (furnished) with 2 garage spots was over $5k/mo. But that was brand new construction in SoMa, 3 blocks from the baseball stadium.

A driver in this decline is that while only around 5% of renters paid partial rent in June or didn't pay anything at all, nearly 10% of renters simply walked away from their lease entirely and moved out of the city, or are Gen Zers who have moved back in with their parents. They are expecting an aggregate loss of over $700 million in rental income through this year.

That's more than five months of mortgage payments for me, and that's including escrowed taxes. For the mortgage alone, it's probably closer to nine or ten months.

Luckily the relocation package covered 3 months of that rent. Sadly, we lived there 5 months.

Damnit, Hulu removed 5 episodes of Always Sunny due to the gang playing different races.

You better make sure it was printed before July 1, 2020.

All kinds of media is going to get the George Lucas Special Edition treatment.
