Department of Safety Commissioner John Harrington said they are contact-tracing the arrested and added that an investigation is underway about white nationalist groups posting online to encourage their members to use the protests as a cover to create chaos.

He said some of the 40 arrests made in the Twin Cities Friday night were of people linked to white supremacist groups and organized crime.

Per multiple people (including people I know personally) down at the protest, the police car lit on fire was a plant. It was parked and left abandoned.

A bunch of white kids started breaking its windows and protestors tried to stop them. It devolved from there.

We were watching the WPXI stream when it happened. They did not show who threw the first rock at the car, though some random protestor showed a photo on his phone saying it was a white dude who started it.

There were four cops on horseback by the car trying to keep people back. That didn’t go well and they got out of there pretty quickly. Shortly after they were gone, the car was set on fire. It looked to be a large group of people responsible for that part.

I thought Antifa only showed up at white supremacy rallies? I didn’t think they went out of their way to cause garbage like this. I could be wrong though in the understanding, but it makes sense with a white cop doing the killing.

Pittsburgh police has now organized and about 100 of them in riot gear are heading into downtown to the protestors.
