Criminal hacker group claims to have Trump documents, asks for $42M in ransom
https://thehill.com/policy/cybersecurit ... 42-million
A gang of cybercriminals claimed in a post to the dark web on Friday that it had obtained documents on President Trump, and is threatening to release them and other hacked documents unless it receives a $42 million ransom.

According to Variety, which has seen the dark web post, the criminal group hacked the major entertainment law firm Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks and obtained a trove of documents on Trump, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Nicki Minaj, Bruce Springsteen, Mary J. Blige, Ella Mai, Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey.

The hackers are using ransomware attacks in which they lock up a network and demand payment to return access to systems and documents.

“The next person we'll be publishing is Donald Trump. There's an election race going on, and we found a ton of dirty laundry,” the group's post reportedly said, including a one-week deadline. “And to you voters, we can let you know that after such a publication, you certainly don't want to see him as president.”
Believe it when I see it.
Honestly what type of information could they possibly possess that would show trump is more of a POS?

Yeah, Trump is bulletproof. They could have a video of him saying he hates America and that every person who voted for him is a moron and I bet it wouldn't cost him 1% of his base.

Tax fraud, that's about it. Could push the SCOTU to actually make a choice. Even then, I don't know. There's so many things that just get casually defended, explained away, it doesn't matter, imo.

Actually, what about that racist apprentice tape? I wonder where that's gone where he's apparently racist, would further hurt the black voters if it gets out before election.

Anther IG fired, this time, because they opened an investigation against Pompeo.
Statement from Engel: The IG was reportedly fired for opening an investigation into Pompeo.

I have learned that the Office of the Inspector General had opened an investigation into Secretary Pompeo. Mr. Linick’s firing amid such a probe strongly suggests that this is an unlawful act of retaliation.

Literally every single one of the individual state governors have done a better job than Trump. All 50 of them.

Dude Cuomo ordered the subways scrubbed down like a week ago.

Then again, given how so many things he and some of these governors have said turned out to be so completely wrong it does make sense you would praise them.

Reade’s accusation is problematic, in that she was talking to journalists a year ago about a much lighter claim about Biden’s conduct. Then recently came out and accused of him assault.

Make of it as you will, and if we’re applying the “kavanaugh standard” then we should also relitigate the 20 assault claims against trump.

Inslee is probably the only governor who acted quickly enough to squelch an outbreak.

Trump: every single thing wrong

But keep doing you.

This is also a false debate in the first place.

Anti anti-trump will bring up bilbo blasio whenever trumps litany of public statement downplaying the threat. And ok to that. But to pretend that trump should be compared to Cuomo or diblasio is either ignorance or nonsense. The feds have the resources to actively respond to the crisis, all the states could do was shut things down, their arsenal of responses is not in the same galaxy.

Trump is a shitty president and it was stupid to put him in that position. Own it.

People hated clinton, I get that, and I would never expect those people to pull the lever for her. Just pointing out it was the worst two candidates imaginable. But there is obvious fallout from elevating trump to this position

Cuomo's failures led to 20,000 dead in his state.

But Trump's President and Cuomo's brother is on CNN so he's not responsible for anything.

If this is the lens we’re using, how many deaths have Trump’s failures led to?

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/wash ... obama-bush
Despite a wave of critical news coverage and Democratic catcalls, President Trump sits at his “highest” approval in the latest Gallup survey, and above where four of the last six presidents -- including Barack Obama and George W. Bush -- were at this point of the first term.

After two weeks of bad news on the coronavirus and economic front, Trump maintained his 49% approval rating, and his disapproval crept up just 1 point, to 48% in the Gallup survey of adults, a broad test.

Gallup said that Trump’s approval is “tied for the best of his presidency.”
They shouldn't even bother with the election. Trump's going to walk away with it.

It still boggles the mind that Joe Biden was the best that could be brought forward.

Not as bad as Mitt Romney, but still bad.

Some of the biggest weapons we had for this was shutting things down and protecting commuters, essential workers, the vulnerable and such regardless of testing, testing, testing. Cuomo's state **** ing failed at every one of those.
