European Parliament just voted 582 to 40 (non-binding resolution, but given the huge majority...) to "to present and publish without further delay the results of the impact assessment on the introduction of a common charger for mobile telephones and other compatible devices with a view to proposing mandatory provisions" for the whole EU.

The Parliament expressed “urgent need for EU regulatory action” by July 2020.

I'm actually on NP and nobody's side here. There are rubes of all political philosophies, and I don't think any of our 5AF conservatives are of the Sandy Hook/Seth Rich/UkraineGate persuasion.
I think it mischaracterizes what Trump is if we focus on "the deplorables" angle. What it really is to me is policy by twitter poll or what's trending. TMZ politics. It makes him "one of us" and tells it like it is because he parrots whatever titular viewpoint is popular at the moment.

Talk to me when they standardize outlets. Seriously people, I shouldn't need a swiss army outlet adapter.

I think this is a case of parallel discussions. I'm not sure where anyone is making the argument that there aren't dupes on all sides of this debate. I was responding to the idiotic statements made by Ross (cabinet official) and Kushner (senior admin advisor) that were said on national TV. The arguments they made are on the level of flippant message board responses. To be that vapid in such positions, brought back an argument I heard about how this current crop of GOP leaders are the rubes. You don't make blunt assertions like that unless that is the actual level of understanding you possess.

Nope. It’s TDS and caring about something that everyone has always done when you didn’t care before.

Honestly, call the darn witnesses. You want to threaten Dems with oversight of the next Democratic President? Great! I welcome it. That's the thing about nobody's position on all politicians are corrupt: you can expect that corrupt behavior going forward and then want as little government control on things as possible, or you can say this level of oversight needs to apply to them all and demand transparency from all of Washington.
I'm in the latter camp, and if that means a Democratic President goes down for dealing out of self interest instead of those of the country or using the office to enrich themselves, then so be it.

This speaks to another thing that I'm sure more politicians have done, but seems an all to often occurrence for Trump. The inability to say we were wrong. It would have been so easy to just say that brain injuries often don't get diagnosed for days afterwards, and medical professionals are doing their best to assist soldiers dealing with these issues. We presented the facts as we knew them at the time. Instead, you've got Captain ClownNose standing at a podium downplaying it and just telling people to take some Advil basically. He lives to foment drama.

Hillary really was the only person on earth Trump could have beaten.

All top Dem leaders should have been ousted after 2016.

I think Trump probably would have beat Bernie too.
