TWO STATES. EIGHT TEXTBOOKS. TWO AMERICAN STORIES.
American history textbooks can differ across the country, in ways that are shaded by partisan politics.

Yes, I think by the time anyone gets to college they are hit with the harsh reality that textbooks and the companies are shams the only live to make money from who will pay them to put certain content in to rearranging chapters and calling it a new edition. Now in digital books charging rental fees or limiting the time book resources can be used while still charging the same as they did when the books were all physical copies. Textbooks are awful and If education wanted to they could function without them due to the internet.

Hoser CEO blames Trump:

“A [Maple Leaf Foods] colleague of mine lost his wife and family this week to a needless, irresponsible series of events in Iran,” tweeted Maple Leaf Foods CEO Michael McCain. “U.S. government leaders unconstrained by checks/balances, concocted an ill-conceived plan to divert focus from political woes.”

It's a picture from Tuesday but for some reason wasnt tweeted until yesterday. Apparently it did appear on the 7th on the WH instagram page or another platform. And it's of course driven the usual media suspects even more insane if that's possible. Our buddies over at vox think it's anything from a secret coded message, to Trump thinking he literally controls the weather

You don't find it all amusing that they tweeted that out on a 60 degree day in January?

I dont know why they tweeted it out yesterday as opposed to when it was actually taken. It was on other platforms on the 7th so why not tweet it then, who knows. The only amusing thing is the reaction. The same people that launched an investigation over a photoshopped dog head on a human body probably didnt get an ounce of sleep last night.

Did he put eminent in quotes because it's the wrong word? Also, I'm struggling with him saying they had plans on attacking 4 different embassies and Esper saying he has no idea what Trump is talking about.

I would agree if they just came out and said that. If they said, "listen, he's a horrible dude. We had a shot, we took it." that would be fine. The lies on lies on lies which are so easily debunked are the problem.

I am perfectly OK with grieving people being somewhat irrational. Maybe not as irrational as Trump-hating 5AF posters changing Trump's own posts to make them more "pro-Trump", but irrational still...

That million mom's group is at it again:
For one conservative activist group, Burger King’s use of a word it considers profane is too tough to stomach in a commercial.

In August, the fast-food giant rolled out an ad promoting its plant-based Impossible Whopper. In the minute-long segment, one customer scarfs down a patty and between bites mumbles, “Damn that’s good.”

In a news release Friday, One Million Moms said the language in Burger King clip was offensive and that it was “sad that this once family restaurant has made yet another deliberate decision to produce a controversial advertisement instead of a wholesome one.” The group said that Burger King could have edited the word or the taste tester “didn’t have to curse.”

Definitely amusing and kind of dumb, but holy sht the reaction to it like it is some sort of conspiracy.
